Just a suggestion, but why not try to move your hordes away from your pursuers and move into the Caucusus mountains? It seems that the hordes are all moving west. Go against the grain and move into the lands of the easterners and spill their lifeblood in Tengri's name. If any hordes follow you, crush them. The Roman Empires can wait.

*Update after part 4*, lionheart has since beginning of the Lp Won 3 battles and lost 1 battle. He fought 4 battles himself and auto resolve 0 battle. He killed 3310 men of the enemies and lost 1579 of his own men. Also lost 159 men to friendly fire.

Blauruman i take the number of kills from the enemy subtract lionheart loses. But since attila does not show kill count like rome 2, i must use percentage for some battles. It a good point you bring in, i will write in bold just to emphasize *kill count and friendly fire is an approximation not the exact numbers since the attila battle reports lacks information.*

When you play as the huns, they're weak. But when it's AI, the huns spawn a full stack every few turns :/

Oh my lord Lionheart, THANK YOU for telling us about the Rivalry between hordes. I couldn't work out why my economy was in the toilet because I was stacking 3 hordes..

You dont need to build infantry melee cavalry is actually very good against infantry unless they are spears you can just use the charge bonus from lancer cavalry to take care of them.

Should you be interested Lionheart there is a TV series called 'Marco Polo' out that is okay, it isn't great but it could be fun to watch for some additional Lore =) Also, if you want to be cheecky, try to put your armies on a triple bordercrossing, you'll be able to keep them together but technically they'll be in different territories so less rivalry, cheers!

Rabid Photon The Huns and Mongolians had uncanny similarities, such as religion and physical appearance. While it can't be proved whether they were same people, they still shared different aspects of their cultures.

great recovery, though I don't like cav heavy armies, you need them and should use them as skirmish armies (avoiding melee battles and go for picking them off with speed a distance). I would focus on subjugating the factions to the east because of how they have been weekend by other horde factions, maybe even ally up with some friendly faction and use the war targeting method to battle the weekend eastern faction whilst building your hordes up in sizes and strength and increasing the amount of them before going up against Rome. I expect around 5-6 hordes would be a wise amount before heading too far west though I could be completely wrong, It depends on what happens with the other factions

Foot archers are rather useless to the huns, horse archers have more mobility, ammo and can engage the enemy in melee if the need comes. By leaving foot archers out of your armies, you make more space for cavalry and tanky spears for holding power.

Take out their settlement and try to subjugate them, then if you attack the vandals you'll have their army as reinforcements. Also perhaps see if you can get some assistance from any of the other hordes. Long shot but might bare fruit.

I think you should stay all cavalry so that you can out run the stacks that can hurt you and catch fleeing enemies. Do the guys that are following you have other enemies that are going to be attacking their settlements soon? Can you convince any of their enemies to attack their settlements? Maybe fleeing north is a good idea since the introduction suggested subjugated the north first.

lionheart the only strenght the huns have is that 2 hordes move together at the same time. yes the rivalry is there but it is less then always having to recruit new hordes because others get destroyed due to the lack of well horde mode

I know this might seem weird, but this is just a thought... what if you left your armies together to have a huge amount of strength. even though they counter act each other with rivalry its not like your enemies can really take anything from you. so having everyone together seems logical because they never settle down permanently. and enemies cant really attack "your" settlements... sorry that was really confusing, but just a thought and hope it helps. keep up the good work and happy raiding!!

Perhaps go into the Roman empires when they have weakened abitt by the other hordes. Id recommend concentrating on the south east of the map, then pushing through to west Africa, attacking the Western Roman empire from the south. That is what I did, worked out fairly well.

If you want this campaign to be a 'divine success' or whatever the top victory achievement is called then I would go subdugate all the tribes in the area your in + north. Really consolidate the area. If you attack now you'll run out of steam very quickly. You're going to need far more than just three stacks to take out entire factions such as WRE. Once this is done though then build up awesome stacks with only cav (just to have huge charges into the enemy) and charge in to WRE (probs be quite weak if not very by mid game) and Sassanids (for the monies). Once their done then take on ERE. But if you want fun then i'd attack straight away and see how long you last. You'll run out of steam pretty quick I guess bt their wld be a few great battles :P Keep up the good work

I understand that you need infantry and you're not very good with cav but you gotta remember that you are playing as the Huns so most of your army still should be cav. Other than that this looks like it is going to be really fun to watch :)

Move your horde in Hyperborea and sack the settlement of the faction who just poisoned you. That may turn their army back in order to deal with the invaders (it may not). Then use your spy to hinder the Vandals and hope that the other factions army turns back

Gettign peace as the Huns is super hard, you either have to make very good relations with them before they agree, or wreck them to the point where they submit. I had to get my relations with the ERE to +75 before they agreed to a peace with me, after that they were more than happy to pay me tribute.

Build your nomadic ecomony first. You are too weak now... Also, stay in war with as many factions as you can, that will give your hordes more integrity bonus for each turn.

It would be wise to attack the Romans however because they're just one faction there won't really be any point, besides it's too late as you've retreated east and you would have to go through the hordes you're at war with to get to the Romans. Go after the smaller factions and make them your tributaries, build your Empire a little more and then attack the Romans. The Eastern Empires are good because other than the Sassanid Empire all the other Eastern Factions are 1 or 2 city factions.

I am trying to play the Visigoths and I'm having issues with Sacking. I sack a territory and then I'm locked into it. So do I have to raze after every sacking if there isn't a liberate option to get past it on my way west or is there a better way?

I'd say go in there! run away your other army though, that way they can't get both armies.

Can anyone please help? When I recruit units on attila it doesn't show me their stats! Only the top bit like "good at capturing" etc but the bottom bit with the attack and defence stats isn't there, anyone know how to get it on? Don't want to keep having to right click to see their stats :-(

Pronunciation of Acatziri is NOT 'Azacati' which is what you are saying atm :P => A-CAT-ZI-REE :- the first two syllables have a short 'a', the first 'i' is short' and the last 'i' is pronounced like a double 'e' As per my suggestion in one of your recent vids (can't remember which LP) would you like someone to write you a phonetic dictionary with all the difficult-to-pronounce words in it so you can say them slightly less badly...? ;) I'd be happy to do it

Hi I need some help guys! Is it possible to buy a gaming pc for €500? I want to play total war Atilla on max level and hopefully future ones. That's it, just a gaming pc for total war no videomaking or photoshopping. So if someone could help me, because I don't understand a lot about pc's, it will be greatly appreciated?! The best way (and probably the cheapest) is to build your own computer. I don't think it's really possible to buy/build a PC for 500 euro's that can run Attila: Total War properly. Also, you can never be prepared for future games, as they will probably require you to upgrade your video card, driver and other parts (means that it will cost more money nonetheless). You can look up some video's on how to build your own computer. You probably need someone with a bit of experience though.
