What about the Saxons and the Franks same deal with mostly infantry yeah? Most of their starting units and tier 2 units are shock infantry but you can get some heavy spears early on through research I believe?

It's a very informative video, Mr.Urue, sir. But, what should one do when the enemy has cavalry superiority? or deploys light skirmisher cavalry such as raiders? Is there a way to overcome this with out a change in my army's unit class composition?

indeed i having trouble when there too many spear man throwing spear into my warrior also archer argh i just hate archer raining down cause i have to initiate make harder to box them

+Suyoung Park Skirmisher Cavalry with give you a lot of trouble with the composition that i have in this video. You will effectively have to use your skirmishers in melee mode and loose formation and chase them around the battlefield soaking up their javelins. As far as melee cavalry, the Vikings have some of the strongest in the game. They can go toe to toe with any other Cav, including the Huns. The key to winning against cavalry superiority is not to get outflanked, and once they engage your melee units, do NOT let them run back out for a second charge.

+Ray Mamat Two tactics for defensive archer or skirmisher lines. 1) Approach in loose formation until you are in charge range, then go back to tight formation and charge them forcing them behind their spears. The only way to deal with archers is to take some damage from them first and engage their protective spears in melee. No way around this. Once the spears are occupied, then use your cavalry to flank around and charge them out. 2)You can also approach with some swordsman in a shield wall formation. It will soak up some arrows but either way speed is the key. You have to engage them in melee asap.
