Another tip when using braid is to heat shrink the ends rather than tape.

Many thanks Steve, it’s been along time since I carried this out so I’m struggling to remember, however if you buy a Haynes manual it’s all in there, and very easy to follow 💪🏻

Is that wire loom made for a mk 1 ? Is that why you don’t have a reverse light?

Bloody great work Tom. I love the attention to detail on the car and the production values in the vids.I'm currently fitting/building an auxillary loom for my mk1 1965 cooper, same colour as yours! The loom will power reverse, front fog&drive lights, head unit and subwoofer, motorised heater valve, USB sockets. I took your advice on using the nylon braided loom protector and agree that it’s a brilliant product. I prefer Teva fabric tape for my ends and junctions.Keep it up. If you ever need advice, help tools, whatever, I'm only over in GlossopCheers Guy

Do you have a budget if so how much?
@TomShorrock
@TomShorrock 7 жыл бұрын
Murray Boden I initially had a budget, but that all went out the window when I started to get a feel for how much detail I wanted to incorporate with in my build... obviously you can do minis on a budget but not to they extent I'm aiming to complete mine... I would just also like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to view my content, I can assure you there will be more coming 👌🏻

Nice job, it's going to be a great looking mini and all the better that you are doing the work yourself. I would say that you should check out www.wiredbywilson.co.uk/products-prices/ for your dash switches to really finish off the inside.
