I’m new to wavy/curly hair, I have never known how to work with it. I’m almost 40 and needing to revamp my hair care. This seems like such a process to care for textured hair. Your hair looks amazing. I hope I can one day get my hair to look like this, the way it should.

ok, i didn't think using the OM alone would work for me. i usually do a curl encouraging or curl enhancing product first then a gel. plus i'd heard that the OM didn't give enough hold to use alone so i hadn't been. i used it for the first time alone this morning and WOW. my hair is so soft but also voluminous and it held a really pretty curl pattern. i'm shocked. it may be one of the best wash day curl days i've had since i started this journey! fingers crossed for a good day 2!

Orange marmalade has been my go to product one styler ever since I bought it four months ago!! My hair reacts so well with it in a way that no other product does. My first day using it was the best hair day I had experienced so far!! I can’t live without it!!
@asmith98494 жыл бұрын
Best tips from using this as mostly a one and done styler- less is more with orange marmalade- no really, I’ve used maybe 1/2 the amount of product I usually use with gel, and then REALLY REALLY emulsifying it well with lots of water makes a big difference
@TheFitCurls4 жыл бұрын
Oh emulsifying is a GAME CHANGER for sure!! Thanks for sharing your experience!! 🧡

Thanks for your honest video! What you are describing with over moisture I have just been experimenting with. I am still growing out damage so I have some very high porosity hair and those of us with that have to be really mindful of over moisturizing. I live in the south and its VERY humid right now and I was struggling with why my second day hair - it just felt so coated. I just cut about 5 inches of damage off and it felt like my hair just lost all of its curl. I finally decided to try dropping one of my styling products and go straight from leave in - next I will try curl cream instead of leave in to see what the difference is - to gel. Huge difference! My hair was just so weighted down with product it just fell flat on day 2. I would not be surprised if I have to add the second product back in the winter but for right now, less is more! I think the Orange Marmalade looks like an amazing product and will keep it on my list for when its time to get something new. Our gel products should seal in moisture as well as define and hold, and it looks like the EcoSlay does that very thing - hope to try the Matcha Boost too - high porosity needs protein!

Ooh girl I know that Southern humidity all too well!! 🥵 glad you’re figuring out your balance! Stay tuned for my next video for more protein balance tricks!

I was looking forward to your review of this after your Instagram post! I adore Ecoslay Orange Marmalade and recently ran out and had to order again. Your hair looks incredible on the one and done styling! Love your review! 😊⭐️ Can I ask if you always microplop rather than plop? Just that my hair always seems to go a bit wrong when plopping and wondered if anyone else avoids it and if so why. Many thanks Angela! ⭐️😊
@TheFitCurls4 жыл бұрын
I do indeed always microplop! Because my curls are so fine in texture they’re very susceptible to going wonky, and I find that microplopping gives me more control and less chance of wonk than a full plop 😂

If you like the flax gel, which I love, you should look at the CurlMix line. You can get a kit with 4 of the products that are used in the regime, each one being about 4 oz, I think, and its not very expensive. For your first order, if you take the hair 'test' you get 10% off. If you really like the products and want to continue using them, get on their mailing list and often they send out 20% off coupons. I like their products a lot.

i've been using it in conjunction with something else too and i honestly have been wondering what on earth all the fuss was about. it was ok, but not earth shattering or even something i'd buy again. HOWEVER, i used it alone this morning. nothing else in my hair but a leave-in and HUGE difference. more volume, great hold and my hair feels soft and not crunchy. i will be using it this way in the future for sure.

My Soigne flaxseed gel is awesome! It gives me really strong hold that lasts for days in extremely high humidity. I totally recommend it! I cannot compare it to Ecoslay's OM, I bought it and it's on my shelf, waiting for a special day to open it haha...I have too many products...
@angelamonahan25734 жыл бұрын
Would you recommend refrigerating the Ecoslay Marmalade, or do you? I heard its got a bit shorter shelf life, bc of its natural ingredients. Btw, your hair looks AWESOME that 2nd time around. Bellissima! 💜

Thank you! I definitely would recommend refrigerating it or at least keeping it in a consistently cool & dry area

@jamiebowden47074 жыл бұрын
Hi! Wow your hair looks amazing! I have not tried that specific brand but for the past couple of years I have been making my own flaxseed gel and it's the best. It is better than any gel that you can buy, and it's good for your hair. And you can add things to it like Ecoslay does: marshmallow root, aloe vera gel, agave, etc. I have found the flaxseed gel with a little oil added works best for me. Make some yourself and you will be amazed. Add a little bit of Vitamin E oil (a natural preservative) and it will last 3 weeks in the fridge. It just gives the most defined, soft curls every time - just like your results that you had with Ecoslay. 🥰

I get that you might be coming from a place of disappointment, but this comment honestly stung. Everyone’s hair has its own unique issues, and I gave my honest opinion of how these products worked for MY issues. I still wholeheartedly endorse Ecoslay as a brand because they’ve given me some of my best hair days ever and have done the same for many others! But if you don’t want to buy them, don’t.
