@returnedfavor4 жыл бұрын
@@saltyfloridaman7163 Agreed, but it won't take traction; Here's why I think this; GM chose to come out with the $100k first before they come out with the affordable version with it or before it. I Disagree with this tactic because Hype, again my opinion, is what drives the market these days; and it being release around same time as Cyber Truck and the Ford Bronco, even with it's V6 being it's strongest trim, will probably still out sell hummer by 10 folds; Also, Hummer owners, and the Hummer brand itself, before dying off, did get, and maintain a very bad rep as douche bags among other stereotypes; ask among millennial non-car people, they will agree with that statement. Yes, the younger generation would not hear of these stereotypes, but majority of those who can afford that 100k price tag, probably wouldn't want that label attach to them. Lastly, it will fall under the GM label, not it's own label (I know they fall same umbrella, but they were same umbrella different teams when Hummer was still alive), and I bet you would agree, the GM mark is something you wouldn't want.

I’m mainly a Ford fan but liked the Hummers. General Motors really screwed up killing of Hummer and Pontiac if you ask me. Hummer was the only thing they had to take on Jeep and Pontiac was their sports division that made the more sportier designs of GM cars. If they would have kept those two brands around a few years longer then they would be doing great right now.

Badass Build you have there. Bought my 2009 Boulder Gray H3T Base new in 2010. LUV this Truck. Wish I had the cash then for an Alpha but returned a 06 H3 from a lease when the shut down came. Flew from South Bend to Memphis for mine. Fun drive home. Slantback Topper and 35" Daily driver and 78000 mi. Very few recalls also. The quality and comfort of these trucks like the sound deadening insulation. Not like driving a tin can at all. and my new truck cost $30.200. Try to get a new truck for that now with these base model options. Prices are nuts. If ever do lose this I5,,, I will get a V8 Crate motor..

The only reason GM discontinued the Hummer was it's name the name Hummer was synonymous with gas guzzling trucks even though it probably wasn't any thirstier than a suburban a Tahoe or any full size pickup truck in the GM lineup
@camaroman1014 жыл бұрын
Not much thirstier than a sequoia or tundra either. But hummer got to be a hated brand. Plenty of h2s were getting vandalized from high gas prices and the war in the Middle East.

I love my 06 H3. I put a lot of work in it front/rear lockers (stole front diff with lockers from an H3 T with the 3.7), beefier IFS hardware, diff drop, adjustable upper control arms. But I wish I could find the Rancho lift for it. The lucky few have the best mod. I also would love to explore beefing up my IFS front setup and avoid straight axle all together. I would love to see how IFS moves forward in the future. Amazing rigs!

No marketing expert, but I truly believe the H3 lineup died because it had an identity crisis. It was not marketed right. Should have been sold as a rubicon killer, not a drug dealer soccer mom car. I own a 2009 H3 and I love it. Will never get rid of it. Best SUV I have ever owned.

Great looking car, unfortunately the gas crisis killed the hummer line, the h3 line up was the best looking, even a 2006 looks better than any jeep wrangler out there, GM dropped the ball not keeping the h3 around and make it better to compete and the H3T is top.

@strongbeaux4 жыл бұрын
Oversized moon roof actually. And they actually have a concept canvas roof that’s fully retractable from front to back in the suv H3 love mine. Get any H3 you can find parts everywhere get two even you can find cheap ones for under 10k and build from there. So accessorizable, so utlitious, so durable, such a classic tough body, you can even put a v8 or LR3 under the hood... fun fun truck get two! They’ll both be worth $30-50k one day and you can even take off the doors with canvas roof, and so much luxury and space the wrangler, fj cruiser, Tacoma, can’t compete so so so easy to work with

I agree, if Hummer did return, and return with propper built for the people and hoe the people want it. EG Cummins engines and looks. it would sell like hot cakes. espeically if they made a Luxury revised version Like a supercharged 7L V12 or something

I know this is an old video. But why does everybody say the i5 "has problems" and then never name any problems? The answer is, they really don't. No they're not powerful, but they will SOAR past the LS2 5.3 in mileage. They are 400k+ mile engines with normal maintenance and repairs. Can't say the same for the 5.3. Underpowered, yes. Unreliable, not even close.
