Pro tip for fighting the Automatons: Use the mortar sentry. Put it behind cover. It doesn't need line of sight and will fire for a long time. Only downide is you need to prioritise killing enemies that rush you otherwise the turret will shoot that enemy while it's close to you. This is outweighed by being able to get free explosives off on anything in the immediate area and will often decimate any bots that get dropped in as soon as they leave a dropship.

Fun fact: You don't have to extract to succeed. As long as the main objectives are complete, extraction is optional. There's even a trophy/achievement for winning this way. Obviously you don't get as much rewards and no samples this way but it's useful when on higher difficulties to bum-rush the main objective then relax as you know you've won regardless.

Patch 9 borked the servers. waiting... for the next patch to fix it... so i can ACTUALLY PLAY MULTIPLAYER SINTEAD OF SOLO.

The problem is server capacity. Devs were expecting Helldivers 1 numbers, not hottest game of the month numbers. It's funny, I'm in the UK and the servers are fine in the morning. Then the American wake up and suddenly they're at capacity, lol.
