Hi there, Not sure about two things : -The broken bottle you got as starting item, is, I believe just working once (or twice) during a fight, and not as a permanent +2 -pretty sure that only the character that goes on the +1 moral/ +2 determination tokens action, is the only one gaining the 2 tokens for doing the action. Cheers, Nice video BTW. Keep it up
@TotallyTabled2 жыл бұрын
Nope, the bottle is permanent weapon level. To quote the rulebook: "For example, the players have an Empty Bottle which allows them to increase their Weapon level by 1 each time it is used. Players could decide to use it both times at the very beginning of the game to start with Weapon level 2, and then discard that card." As for the second question, I believe I followed that. The first time I had every character go to that spot and do that action so each character got 2 determination tokens. Did I make a mistake at another time? If so, when? Thanks for watching.

Oh soo good and honestly what a lucky draw on that rope!! Haha 😅 Those 20 minutes went by way too fast though, can't wait for the other parts!!

I was so frustrated with that draw that I almost reshot it, but I promised myself I would never do that. I really wanted to show how this game is difficult but fair. Not sure this playthrough is going to prove anything except I'm extremely lucky. 😂 I'll have part two out tomorrow. Thanks for watching Henne!
@TheoWinter2 жыл бұрын
@@TotallyTabled I'm glad you didn't, because it was perfect. And this game can still be very difficult, even with those lucky moments! It can be so cruel and unforgiving, but as you said, with a bit of luck and good planing it is manageable to win 😉
@TotallyTabled2 жыл бұрын
You are exactly right. The luck tends to even out and games usually come down to the wire (if you play well). Not giving anything away but this playthrough will not be a cakewalk. 🙂

Great video! You revived this game for my collection. I have exchanged this game with spirit island cause I thought Crusoe will fit my needs for coop better. Have played a lot the first scenario with friends and no more. I don't like the alpha player in multiplayer, but didn't think to play it solo and this definitely a mistake as this is a great puzzle with different scenarios in my collection. No need to rush and buy Sleeping Gods, The war of mine and cyberpunk

That is amazing to hear! Sorry for the delay in responding, I've been a bit ill. One of Robinson Crusoe's great strengths is how well it plays solo, either using the solo rules or (doing what I always do) and just playing with three characters. So much replayability -- even I have barely explored all the expansion material. It is a special game for sure. Thanks so much for supporting the channel!

I noticed that this scenario is super hard if you play it with only 1 character (even with Friday). You just don't have the work force to get all the resources you need until round 8. Good luck finding those 4 pelts and 6 wood (with 3 workers) until round 7 if you don't get lucky with exploring or random cards while also building a camp, those palisades against the storm and weapons. It also doesn't help that Jenny has to eat but cannot do anything. 😔

@TotallyTabled2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The tokens are in basic plastic coin holders that coin collectors use. I got them in bulk on Amazon. The wooden insert was an old thing I got and I cannot remember who made it, but it was an insert designed specifically for the first printing of RC. Hope that helps.

@TotallyTabled2 жыл бұрын
That is great to hear Wills! Don't let your first couple of games discourage you -- it takes a while before the game clicks. As for the coin holders, I believe they are 27mm or 30mm but I cannot remember exactly, it was a long time ago. It might be different for the different editions -- I have the first. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the game!

Great tips! One question: which organizer is that (for the chips and tokens)? Or did it come with the first edition (I own the second).
@singlemeeple2 жыл бұрын
Great introduction to the game, looking forward to the second part! Let's say people aren't as lucky as you are and they don't succeed in getting rope on or before day 3. Does that mean they might as well quit and start over because they're already sure there's no way to win anymore?
@TotallyTabled2 жыл бұрын
Hey Single Meeple, thanks. Yes, that scenario has a very strict ticking clock, which is why I think it works nice for beginners (as long as they understand the timeline). It is important to explore quickly, use the explorer's power and find a grassland terrain. The challenge is can you survive at the same time? Not an easy task, but if you maintain your moral and keep the determination flowing, you will always have a chance.
@ealzaabii Жыл бұрын
could you please tell me from where you got all these accessories for the game?
@TotallyTabled Жыл бұрын
Ah, yeah, those wooden containers I got about a decade ago from a company no longer in business, I forget their name. It actually isn't very functional but it looks nice. The upgraded resource tokens are from Stonemaier games I believe. Not sure if they still sell them. I use plastic coin capsules (like coin collectors use) on the exploration tokens -- I got those in bulk from Amazon I believe. It has been a long time so I'm not sure what is still available. And I have the first edition of the game, so I'm not sure what is compatible with the second edition. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
@alamb11012 жыл бұрын
Great video! What plastic token containers are you using for those discovery tokens?
@TotallyTabled2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrew! Those aren't plastic but rather plywood or something like that. I bought them years ago and I cannot remember the company. I would probably recommend something plastic because these are a bit flimsy. But they look nice. Thanks again!
@alamb11012 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I meant the tokens you draw out of that bag (when you pulled the rope!). Are those plastic? They look like coin holders.
@TotallyTabled2 жыл бұрын
Oh, sorry I misunderstood. Yes, that is exactly what those are. I order them on Amazon in packs of 100 and use them in every game where you draw tokens from a bag (in this case I also supplied the bag). I'm not sure which size to get. It might depend on your edition, not sure. But, yes, that is so much more satisfying than drawing straight cardboard. Thanks Andrew!

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I got those tokens a long time ago. But it is similar to this: boardgamegeekstore.com/products/top-shelf-gamer-deluxe-token-bundle-compatible-with-robinson-crusoe The Date 1-4 is just a place where you can record your score. Yeah, there is a score in this game but I never have and never will even calculate it. This is a survive or don't survive game for me. Thanks for watching!

Hello, does this game as a good replayability? Is it good at 2 players as well ? I know you like that game kind of the most ^^ i was hesitating with "the war of mine" as well Thank you
@TotallyTabled5 ай бұрын
Oh yes, Robinson Crusoe has unlimited replayability. The base game comes with 6 scenarios that are each replayable. I've played Jenny Needs Help at least 20 times over the last decade. You can check out my other playthroughs of RC to see the Volcano Island scenario and the Reality Island scenario which comes in the Book of Adventures. I have a video about the Book of Adventures, but it adds even more replayability with dozens and dozens of scenarios. It should be available for purchase soon. And it is great with 2 players. You can each play a character or just share the characters and discuss best actions as if it was a solo game (which is what my wife and I like to do). Hope that helps. Thanks so much.

Would you recommend this after the first scenario or the Exorcism one?
@TotallyTabled Жыл бұрын
I would recommend this one as your first scenario, as long as you keep in mind the time constraints this scenario puts on you. I go through it in detail in the playthrough. But honestly, I don't recommend the first scenario at all -- just skip it. And Exorcism is best as a second or third scenario. They all have very different feels, so if you don't like a scenario, just try a different one. They are all very replayable -- I've probably played Jenny Needs Help a dozen times. Hope that helps and I hope you enjoy the game! Thanks for watching!
