I thought the way they worded them based on the videos title sounded backwards. With the name of the video being NFL coaching changes that made zero sense and that they changed from Andy Reid to Chip Kelly. Wording it that way would have made more sense to me. Organizations were/are so impatient, especially when GOOD HCs have a few "Down Years." I understand that sometimes you do kinda reach a peak with some guys(Ex: Reid in Philly, as dynamic as he was, he just seemed to be at his pinnacle with them. KC gave him that needed change of scenery and a bit more freedom and the rest is history.) But it's hard to let a HC settle in with fanbases being so Rabid. I say good luck to Saleh because we all know that market and fanbase is brutal. He may end up being just fine, although IMO he's just another one of many when it comes to Cover 3 DCs. If anything, I hope he gets an actual chance to build a team. I guess lately we've seen SOME change. McDermott has been given the time he needed in Buffalo. Miami is buying in on Flo, whom I love, and they're allowing him the time to re-build which so far has been a success. You got Shanahan in SF, Rivera in WFT or even Gruden in LV(I know they've maybe disappointed some but he's building a winning culture, he just needs a D badly.)

@@saintsrulz Yea, more or less the idea has anyways. Flo and Gruden gone but teams are trying to be more patient. Chicago and ATL come to mind as well. Both are hovering around .500 with pretty bad rosters. But they are exceeding expectations. Daboll is getting time etc. I just never understood the idea of hiring a guy and firing him within a year(Except Urban Meyer, he's a douche.) Hire a guy, build and see what it looks like at its apex. Then move on if need be. It's the fans though. We scream, cry and make it hard on owners.

The Eagles are in a glum predicament. They fire Andy Reid for Chip Kelly. Andy Reid rebuilds KC and brings them to a Super Bowl victory (plus one appearance this year). Chip Kelly runs Philadelphia to the ground and gets fired before the 2015 season ends. They turn to Doug Pederson instead who was the OC for the Chiefs under......Andy Reid, the guy who they fired. Doug resurrects the franchise and Philly wins the Super Bowl in 2018. They lose their OC Frank Reich to the Colts and regress the year after. Things took a turn for the worst in 2020, they fire Doug Pederson three years after winning the Super Bowl and hire Nick Sirianni. Nick Sirianni was the OC of the Colts under......Frank Reich. It’s a weird carousel of coaching hires/fires.

Kelly was a front office assclown. He single-handedly destroyed the Eagles, almost like he was paid to get rid of Andy's best players. Vick. Jackson. McCoy. Worst coaching changeis easily Jim Tonsils replacing Jim Harbaugh. Come on 3 consecutive NFC CHAMPIONSHIP APPEARANCES AND A SUPER BOWL APPEARANCE THAT WAS DOWN TO THE GOAL LINE. Niners had been in essentially a 15+ year drought before Harbaugh turned the franchise around. And also note that after he left the began to suck again until John Lynch hires Kyle Shanahan. Closest they came to having even a semi decent coach between Bill Walsh and Shanahan would be Mike Singletary who wasn't given enough time and Harbaugh. George Seifert inherited a ALL-TIME DYNASTY SO HE DOESN'T COUNT.
@Buc_Stops_Here3 жыл бұрын
I knew Raheem Morris replacing John Gruden would be in this list. Gruden got rid of John McKay and get instead for the GM Bruce Allen. That is when the team's talent got a lot older and lot worse, and Bruce Allen was fired soon after Gruden was. Then the Bucs spent years trying to find a GM (first Mark Dominick who was a disaster) to make them better when they stumbled onto Jason Licht, who took a few years to learn the job and finally become a good GM. Now they are back in the Super Bowl after a number of coaches and GMs to turn the team around. Also knew Marty Schontiheimer/Norv Turner would make this list as well. Worst? None of these were good, probably Marty with Norv.

I don't agree with you about Gruden - he was awful for the Bucs. Gruden accumulated quarterbacks - perhaps as much to keep other teams from having them as to get any productivity out of them. Jake Plummer retired rather than quarterback for Gruden. In addition, Gruden proved to be so untrustworthy to the players that he had completely lost the locker room. The damage he did to that team over time (he won his one SB with Dungy's players) took a very long time to repair - and that was not his successor's fault. We're about to see the same thing with the Texans in their post-O'Brien era.

As a fan of the Eagles for over 40 years I think that Reid and Eagles split waa needed. Reid lost the team. It seemed as if Reid was grasping at straws (ex. Juan Castillo as def. Coordinator after being a great offensive line coach) additionally Reids son committed suicide earlier than year. I think it was necessary for both sides. Nevertheless, I'm happy to see Andy Reid doing great in KC and my Eagles did get a Super Bowl. Chip Kelly was a disaster after the NFL figured out his offense.
