In Walker's defense, he is the only NFL player to gain 4,000 yards in 3 different ways (rushing, receiving, returning), he is also the only NFL player to have a 90+ yard rush, a 90+ yard reception, and a 90+ yard return in the same season. Only player to score an 84+ yard rushing touchdown and an 84+ yard receiving touchdown in the same game. He is one of only 2 NFL players ever to 10,000 from scrimmage and 5,000 return yards. Walker is one of 6 players to have 60+ rushing touchdowns and 20+ receiving touchdowns in NFL history. He is 8th in NFL history in total yards (and spent 3 years playing in another league). He was a 2x Pro Bowler, and 2x 2nd Team All-Pro. He was often used about as much as a backup besides on special teams. Fun fact, he was an Olympic Bobsledder and fought 2 MMA fights for Strikeforce, now merged with the UFC, where he was 2-0, with 2 wins by knockout.

Did any of these players traded come back and beat their former team in a huge postseason game twice? Well after being traded from the 49ers to the Cowboys that's exactly what HOF defensive end Charles Haley did in the 1992 and 1993 NFC championship games. that's why it should be number 2 blowing all the rest of them out of the water. People only talk about the Herschel Walker trade building the Cowboys but they needed Charles Haley badly in order to have a pass rush.

Don't agree with the Randy Moss trade, he had a bad attitude problem when on the Raiders (and really any other team that underperformed while he was there), he gave no effort when on the raiders and wasn't going to for as long as he was apart of their organization. The reason he did so well on the pats was 1. Tom Brady and 2. He actually gave a shit since the Pats are actually a good.

These are all excellent examples of bad trades, but where is the Craig Morton - Steve Ramsey trade of 1977? In 1976, Craig Morton was much abused quarterback for the New York Giants while Steve Ramsey was a younger but inconsistent quarterback for the Denver Broncos. So they traded and Morton led the Broncos to the Superbowl and Ramsey was released by the Giants before the 77 season began.

Hindsight is 20/20. Playing devil's advocate 15: Wes Welker's success was simply from the system. His yards per reception numbers were low. He is nothing more than a slot receiver and not a go to receiver in a pass heavy team. 14: This was a bad trade on the surface. The Cowboys were fine offensively, Romo was doing well. There was no need to give up that much for a WR. 13: Randy Moss was a cancer with that team, it was time for him to go 12: Don't know well enough to comment 11: Leaf was not a good character coming into the draft, his bust wasn't that hard to predict, so this was a bad trade. 10: Yes, bad trade 9: The Colts drafted James who was arguably just as good. 8: ESPN covered this one. Put it this way, a team offers you a 1st round pick for a third string QB, with character problems, that you drafted in the 2nd round. Do you make that trade? Most people will. 7: While I feel RG3 will be a good QB if he stays healthy, you don't trade that many draft picks. But, the Rams haven't had a winning season since that trade. 6: I never thought Bettis was that good, but that is my personal opinion. In his last year with the Rams he did not do well. RBs come and go. 5: Similar to Brett Farve, except Young was a better character. Still, two draft picks for a QB that looked like a backup. Not a bad trade at the time 4: Yes, bad trade, same with the RG3 trade 3: Elway didn't want to play for them 2: Don't know enough to comment 1: Yes, a bad trade. Walker only had one good season. Now out of those trades, how many Super Bowls did the "winner" of the trades win? Let us see, excluding 12 and 2 15: No 14: No 13: No 11: No 10: No 9: Yes (1) 8: Yes (1) 7: No 6: Yes (1), in his last year (the Rams won one before the Stealers did) 5: Yes (1), 2 were when he was a backup 4: No 3: Yes (2), but in his last two years 1: Yes (3) So six of the 13 I listed and only 2 were multiple winners. Is that really winning a trade?

San Francisco Giants. In, I believe, 1967, traded away Orlando Cepeda for pitcher Ray Sadecki. Cepeda had a stellar career with the Cardinals, Braves, and Red Sox. Sadecki was a flop. The Giants second worst trade? An aging Willie Mays for Mets pitcher Charlie Williams. Willie had two less-than-great seasons with the Mets but it was a matter of respecting the man that I still call MLB's greatest player ever. The Giants showed no class in making this trade. Kudos to the modern Giants for bringing back Willie as a special adviser. Giants third worst trade? Willie McCovey for Mike Ivie. Ivie was nothing but a cry baby and had little talent. Kudos again to the modern Giants for bringing Big Mac back.

On one of the best days ever guys! First we got got tix on almost the 50yd line, eight rows up, to a Dolphins game . They were playing the Titans so not much was on the line. BUT this was '06, which was Wes' first yr w Miami and it was also Vince Young's rookie yr not to mention one of the first games of the season. We talked to the cheerleaders and even got a what's up from Vince! This is when he was super famous and was supposed to be the greatest qb ever still, so it was cool. Point of the story, I noticed Wes his first return and then watched him run routes and catch a ball or two and I told my buddies, and I put this on everything! I said, that dude is something special and if he had a qb he'd be an Erin stud! Seriously tho! Not bragging, but I have an exceptional eye for talent in football. YO NFL holler at me!
