Getting rid of Rodgers gives the Jets a 63 million dollar dead cap hit, you have to take that into account. If Rodgers is gone what happens to Adams who's owed 34 million a year for the next two years. That's close to 100 million going to two players one of which may not be on the team.

Von Miller will go to Tennessee if they don’t resign Harold Landry to try and boost their pass rush. Deebo feels like a lazy choice, yeah they signed Aiyuk but he got a viscous knee injury that may leave him out for more than a season. Yes Jauan Jennings is a verifiable star (not WR1 material mind you) but he's got a cheap contract with 1 year left and he'll probably want to get paid big too, maybe 30M/year big but still high up there.
