@Treez 93 she definitely is the GOAT. Let me see you get out there and make it to the Olympics
@valleyshrew3 жыл бұрын
@Treez 93 It depends if you're valuing world records or longevity/medals. She has the most medals of any athlete across olympics/world championships. But most of them are relays which arent as impressive. Being from the USA or Jamaica is almost a guaranteed medal in relay races. Carl Lewis has 12 individual gold medals across 3 events. She has only 5 in 2 events. Bolt has 13. Lewis & Bolt didnt do the 4x400 relay so which is where 9 of her medals come from, but if they had held a 4x200m relay then Lewis or Bolt would probably surpass her in total medals. Lewis lost out on a relay medal because a team mate got them disqualified in the heat in 1988, but he was the fastest runner in the US team that set 6 new world records. Bolt lost 1 of his gold medals cos 1 of his team mates was doping in 2008. Felix did beat the world record in 2012 which still stands, but I think Carmelita Jeter on her team was the fastest.
@troliskimosko3 жыл бұрын

Damn. What a lean, mean, running machine she is. I love the extended retrospectives that this channel does. 99.9% of what I know about competitive running comes from this source.

I love how this girl has Always remained humble, no crazy colored weaves, no tats or finger nails she just goes out and let's her performance speak for her, just a lovely example for the younger athletes to follow.

So did Flo Jo’s nails speak for her? Does crazy colored hair, tats or nails make you less of a runner or someone to look down on?
@karoslif98183 жыл бұрын
@@Sochi314 it doesn't make me look down on them but I appreciate when someone can be great and continue to be what they were when they were unknown, Allyson Felix is a very good example of this.
@karoslif98183 жыл бұрын
@@Bigedub101 yeah thay can but is it really they're style or are they just following what they see others do, this wasn't their style in high school.
