Thanks looks like my 2004 v10 will likely try to clean out and fill with fresh fuel then bleed when I do mine today. Thanks again.

did you not have to prime the system after changing the filters?

mark brown No. I believe there was sufficient fuel in the reservoar for the filters to keep it running while it topped up. But I understand your concern. Drawing air through the fuelsystem can leave you priming it for hours, on some vehicles.

WHY WHY AND WHY !! didn't you drained and cleaned fuel bowl to begin with. All filtered particles entered fuel lines. And that ' sticking rod with screw on the end is meant to drain all air out after filter change. Your injectors worked for a while dry and i am sure have or will fail soon . This is 2004 engine i can see and i can say most likely decent SUV is not on the road any more. Thanks people like you. Little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. You may as well leave fuel bowl without any cartridges or changing them out expose all accumulated debris at once.

I will most certainly park the car immediately and never use it again. Thanks for the warning!
