EXCELLENT video! I'm a newbie Audiobook Narrator. OK - I have three sections of a passage that I "scissored" to make. #1) The volume is NOT uniform for all three parts - how do I fix that? Also, how do I avoid recording over a section I've done? Move the section several bars down? Thank You!!

Best thing is to place the sections on different tracks so you adjust the volume independently of one another and try to balance them out. to avoid recording over again use a different track.

It can be hard to automate this. You can use a gate which you get on more advanced editing software but sometimes it fails to cut them out completely. So often you have to manually adjust the volume using keyframes. Logic Pro has more of these features.

Yeah that's right emails can only send around 8Mb to 10Mb in file size. You're most welcome. Glad you found the video helpful! Yes you can do that by going to the Track view mode where you can see your audio waveform appear on the timeline. Tap on the loop library button which is on the top right corner of the screen next to the settings icon and then navigate to your music track. If you have it in your Apple music library tap on the Music tab(keep in mind if it is a commercial track sometimes you can't import it due to copyright protection in the app) If you have an mp3 file you can share it to your device and store it in files and then pick up the track from the Files menu. There is a fair bit more to explain so as you say a follow up video would be good and aI'll see if I can get one out in the near future. In the meantime I hope these quick tips can be of assistance.

Thanks for this I'm a new user and I learnt a lot. One question, I created a short piece using the live loops and used this as a background for a short video. I discovered yesterday that I got a copyright strike for using it on youtube. Have you ever encountered this or know this to be a fact that even if you 'write' a piece using the iphone software you are in breach of copywrite?
@Touchtechnologyreview3 жыл бұрын
Yes that can be a problem. The sampled loops that you use often come from sample libraries that Apple have licensed. So in reality they are royalty free if you like and you should be able to use them on any personal or commercial project without issue. The problem is with the DRM (Digital Rights Management) System that KZbin Use. They allow music publishers to register any song on their catalogue into the Database and when your content gets a match with that you get a copyright notice. Now sometimes those artists used the same royalty free sample as you used from Garage Band so it's not a valid match. The AI Thinks you might be using the actual song from that artist as it came up as a match. So in this instance all you have to do is contest it in your creator studio where the copyright message came up. Click on the contest copyright check box and fill in the details explaining that it is your original song using Garage Band and it is possible that the Copyright violation will be removed. If in the worst case you don't get a result, you are still fine to use the video but any monetization goes to the music artist.

@@Touchtechnologyreview Thank you for taking the trouble to reply to me at length, I really appreciate it. Seems like there is some kind of connection issue if you only have audio one one side. It should pan the audio left and right. Helpful only for audio recordings. I still search in vain for a method to make iPhone 12 ProX video recordings AND monitor (as in TRULY MONITOR… not playback review later) the audio. Nothing more frustrating than making an iPhone video of a one-time event, then later realize there was wind noise on the external mic. If I could just find a way to MONITOR the audio side of the video I am making, life would be better.
@Touchtechnologyreview Жыл бұрын
There are a couple of ways to do this. Some mics have a 3.5 output for headphones so you can monitor the audio. The other option to consider if you want to use and existing microphone is something like the Belkin Audio + Charge Rockstar 3.5mm. It has a lighting pass through with a 3.5 headphone jack. So if you plug a mic with lighting cable into the adapter you can use headphones to monitor. It all depends on which mic you use though.

Thanks for your feedback. I wouldn't say its clipping. What speakers or headphones are you listening on? I just listened back and If anything a couple of slight moments where it peaks in the mid section when i got in close to the microphone doing the hands on demo section. I checked the stats for nerds on this video upload and it is at 1.6Db. Really it would have been better to have dialled it down to -1db in the video editor. That could have avoided this problem in the louder sections. a little loud at times. Yes. clipping No. I think overall this audio sounds great and the features demonstrated can be taken seriously. If anyone else cares to contribute. Happy to receive your feedback. IDK I could be missing something here.
