First Time Reaction to the band "Plush"

The girl with blonde hair and the heavy eye makeup is indeed the bass player and backing vocalist, Ashley Suppa. For future reference, the new drummer is named Faith Powell and she has curly brown hair. You can see her in the videos for "Left Behind", "Barracuda", "Find the Beautiful", "Hope It Hurts" and "Run".

These gals are the perfect compliment to The Warning, not to mention, they're big fans of each other! In the live shows, you can generally see Dany, and sometimes Pau and Ale offstage, checking them out, and same thing for the Plush gals when The Warning is on stage! Moriah's vocals are just off-the-charts, especially when she flips the 'Ann Wilson' switch, and does their 'Barracuda' cover.💖😄👍

They have changed the drummer since these videos were shot. New drummer is Faith Powell who they found via her Internet videos - and she is amazing. Moriah's voice is perfect for Rock. Her range is off the scale. The lead guitarist and bassist are solid. They're definitely going places.

Hi guys. I'm not sure if you've seen Plush & The Warning by now. But if you have, I'm sure you're newly-minted Plush fans. I saw both bands in May 2023 in Charlotte, NC and was blown away by both groups. Unlike a lot of fans that night, I already knew all about Plush and was already a huge fan. The concert was a dream come true for me because Plush and The Warning are two of my three favorite bands. Let me assure you the young ladies of Plush are as lovely on the inside as the outside. After the show I got to meet them. They were so friendly, gracious and sweet. It's great when you meet performers and they're even nicer than you'd hoped. Here's an interesting tidbit: Ashley Suppa, Plush's bassist, is a wonderful singer. She has an solo EP out and it couldn't be more different than Plush. I'd describe her stuff as sultry, soul-ish, with even a tinge of disco. I find it fascinating she can pull off music in such incredibly different genres. One final thought. You owe it to yourself to check out Plush's cover version of "Isolation" by Alter Bridge. It's VERY heavy and propulsive, made even better by Moriah's near-operatic voice. Hey Touchy and Mrs. great reaction. My family and I were able to see the show in SF last week. The ladies in Plush are bad ass's on stage and wonderful down too earth people off stage. One of my 9yrs old daughters stepped out to get some air during the Warning set and the Ladies in Plush were walking by and stopped and had a real conversation with her and my wife. After the show they did a meet and greet next to the merch table taking pictures and signing stuff. They engaged my daughters and introduced themselves and we had a real conversation. As an older parent these types of things take the experience to a whole new level You and the Mrs. are in for a great time.

@@TouchyReactions Last week in SF their set was great but a little short I wish they had been able to do 10 songs. My fourth time seeing The Warning first time seeing Plush. We also enjoyed Holy Wars and bought the Vinyl to bring home. Holy Wars also very cool people and let us take pictures and chatted with me and the kids. If you have a chance ask Plush about the ceiling fan they will start laughing.

There is so much material for the two of you to mine--Moriah Formica covering Steelheart's "I'll Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes)", Plush's covers of Alice In Chains' "Down in a Hole" and Alter Bridge's "Isolation". Plush also has a number of videos for songs from the EP they released in January, Find the Beautiful: "Left Behind", "Barracuda", "Hope It Hurts", and "Find the Beautiful". They haven't released a video for it yet, but they have a killer song from the EP called "Run". If you'd like to react to that one, you should use the video for a show they played in Albany, New York on 5-4-2024 and posted by Gary DeFazio. I hope the two of you will do reaction videos for all of these songs.

Ive seen them twice. First time was opening for Disturbed and Mariah came back out on stage for a duet to sing Ann Wilson’s part who recorded the song with David. Awesome show start to finish. Second time was the beginning of their own tour at an outside small venue. Weeknight small crowd but they still put on a top notch show.

Hey, you guys. Plush has released an EP that is all complete fire. You need to do a reaction to them doing Baracuda outrageous. They just finished a tour opening up for Disturbed, and David wanted them on the show because they are great, plus Disturbed wanted to do their new hit single, Don't Tell Me. In this song, David does a duet with Ann Wilson of Heart. So he needed someone to do the duet with, and he does it with Moriah Formica of Plush live. There are many videos of them doing this song on KZbin. Some better than others. The best videos are put out by Disturbed and Plush. Because of the live performances and radio play, that song is #1 on the charts, and in 1 of the videos I've seen, David gave Moriah credit for helping them hit #1.

Thank you for reviewing these videos! I love your interactions back and forth. Plush is incredible and they've had a very busy year in 2024, opening for the Warning you guys saw, and Falling in Reverse and Disturbed and then had a 3-month headliner US tour with their last show in Okinawa Japan. The lead singer Moriah Formica also was invited to be a guest artist with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra for a 2-month tour with them. they're working on some new music right now and are releasing a live album from their headliner tour in February. I'm a subscriber to your channel and would love it if you guys did some more reactions to Plush, please! They have several video's out from their EP and lots of live video's from their tours!

Plush is really good and Moriah, their lead singer has a tremendous voice. With some of their songs the whole chorus is just her belting. Don't get me wrong she can belt. My favorite song by Plush is "Better Off Alone". Moriah picks her moments but the hook is much better for my tastes.

"Hate" off their debut album reached #24 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Surprisingly "Better Off Alone" did not chart. (IMO it was even better than "Hate"). "Left Behind", the lead single off their new EP reached #33. Their new song "Run" is one of their best. One of their few songs that tap into a major key. Looks like you're going to have a blast. Plush do look like the real deal. There's footage of Moriah in the backgrougnd of TW nodding away to their stuff in 2022, and Dany can be seen in the wings of one of their support gigs. And rather cool, Dany swapping high-fives with Moriah and the base-player just before going on stage. Break-up songs, sad, angry or homicidal are definite genre in music. There is the story of a chap walking down the street and Taylor Swift runs up him, and she hugs him and kisses him and holds him tight. Than steps back and slaps him across the mush. And the guy's like, "What's all that about?" And Taylor Swift says, "Sorry, it's nothing personal, it's just that I need to write a great break up song." I hope you enjoy yourselves.

Brooke’s statement says “It saddens me to inform you that I am no longer a member of the group and will be moving on to explore a new project. I was sorry to hear Brooke was leaving but I took an instant liking to Faith Powell. I'm glad they made her their permanent drummer. She plays well. She's a professional who's been totally committed to the band. And her bandmates adore her. Plush has been a very happy band since they brought her aboard.

@@jargraroch3000 Chris Akin of The Classic Metal Show said one of his sources told him Brooke said she wouldn't show for an upcoming tour opening for Alice In Chains unless she got more money, so they cut her loose. I've also gotten to know a guy who knows several members of their families and he said something to the effect that Brooke and the other girls didn't click. There are clips of an outdoor show Plush played in Syracuse, NY in May of 2022 and Ashley and Bella didn't even look at Brooke or smile at her even once. It's nothing like their relationship with Faith, where Ashley or Bella periodically go back near her drum kit.

The bass player is Ashley Suppa. She is a great vocalist as well with many solo projects of her own. Bella Perron is the lead guitarist and Faith Powell is the current drummer (I think she’s better live than Brooke). Moriah Formica is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. She was a contestant on one of the seasons of The Voice.

I have a friend who's been playing drums since the 1980's. He saw Plush at a little venue in Dallas where he was only a few feet away from the band and he was blown away by Faith's playing, especially her double bass work. Brooke is a phenomenal drummer, but I'm really happy they brought Faith into the band. She's a beast of a drummer herself and she's a friendly and beautiful girl who hits it off with her bandmates. And here's something that blew me away. When someone with Plush first reached out to Faith and asked her about playing a show at the New York State Fair in Syracuse, she didn't know any of Plush's songs. In a span of 10 days, she came home from work each day, taught herself the songs and mastered their entire set.
