It really is a case of less = more, you're forced to think of more ways to make cornering efficient, usually developing better entry techniques first, then exit techniques. Despite that, there is little to no theory to it, it's the specific feeling from the FFB when the front tyres scrub the road across a crest and you can simply feel that you've gotten just enough rotation. Thanks for stopping by my video, and I'd like to also personally thank you for creating PK Akina, with the sheer amount of work that was put into painstakingly recreating every detail of the real thing, I can only dream about my own efforts scratching the very surface of what's been done. I am just proud to see how far the envelope has been pushed since Akina 2017 and EK Akina in comparison, and I sincerely hope you guys keep up that great work with all your other projects! ♥️

Trail braking and correct entry speed. Enter the corner too fast with trail braking and you'll end up hitting the guardrail. Also the heel and toe is important for this as it keeps the balance of the car.

Insane driving. Im trying to figure out how ur getting such a perfect slip angle around each hairpin with the Rx7. How are you using ur handbrake? Whats ur technique?
@MinatoNm Жыл бұрын
now I'm also trying to figure out this run on fd ( my time is really bad😐) . I think he downshifts at the entrance and then control with gas but he has so much grip after sliding i cant use so much gas in exit its my first 100 hours so my time now is above 4.50 stable 4.53 also i try to see difference between this run and run on fd 4.36 on this channel trajectories are different so idk for me 4.36 seems cleaner

(x2)every time you see his digital tachometer jitter and drop down - it means handbrake button pressed. yes to get this fast you need to put handbrake on a button and smash it a few times every turn. if you want to drive irl - better not to pick this trick as it is a bad habit
@nightr3z9 ай бұрын
initially he locks the rear tyres by downshifting into first gear and follows it up with tiny taps of handbrake if he didn’t get the needed andle for the hairpin with the shift lock. As for the acceleration part I’m trying to figure that out too. I believe the right tyre pressures at that point make the difference (should be around 32-33 psi for semislicks I believe) so that makes it easier to accelerate

@@sxdattxbWhy is it bad irl? Assuming you are in a controlled environment of course. Running at full tilt on a public road is never a good idea (running at all on a public road is a bad idea, but that won't stop some people). I see rally drivers use a bit of hydraulic handbrake in hairpin turns. To be fair they don't know the course that well usually, but they're pretty damn fast
@sxdattxb7 ай бұрын
@@ToyotaMotorola using handbrake on a gravel surface is ok but using it so much on a tarmac and on a semi slick tire - is pretty bad for a car and it wont work that way as in ac where you can press handbrake 5 times in one turn just to slow down rear wheels irl its not that stable of a technique. you will need separate handbrake caliper to do this (on a separate hydraulic line) more controllable and irl it may be used only to correct your mistake - for example when you bring too much speed to the corner. and it can be done effectively only if mistake is small and handbrake pull is short
