Tough But Possible || Leaving An Unequally Yoked Relationship

Hey everyone! Today I'll be sharing my suggestions on how to leave an unequally yoked relationship. There are many reasons why we'd want to hold onto that which God has declared wrong in His eyes.
However the Word of God should have authority over the life of a Christian, I've been in this situation myself, and it took me years to leave, and in this video I share how I finally trusted God about my life, my relationship and my future. I hope you'll enjoy it.

One major thing I've learned is that men will always "behave or act" the way you want them to when they want to lure you into an unequal relationship. Once u are in, they show you their true self, they remind you that they are not of the same faith as you. It's a terrible place to find yourself in sometimes we put ourselves in wrong situations and act as if it's the will of God. But His grace is sufficient, you can repent and pray pray pray. I repented and seeked God, He answered me and blessed me with a man after His own heart. It is possible to get out of an unequally yoked relationship. Thank you Sego

How did you get out?! How did you address the situation with your ex? Because it's so hard for me to even initiate the conversation of why it's not right for us to be unequally yoked when I feel like we speak different "languages" when it comes to topics of God :( Which makes it even harder to communicate...

@@judithlopez8796 Hey sis, pray for courage to be bold to stand for your faith and ask the Holy Spirit to help you say the right words. Pray for his heart to be receive what you're saying. Remember you're not trying to convince him or be convinced. As long as you're not married to him you must let go of that relationship and trust that God has for you exactly what He wants for us as His daughters. I know it's 3 months post your question and my apologies for the very delayed response. I hope God was gracious to help you and your heart dint harden towards His word, and that you are no longer in an unequally yoked relationship 🙏

When you say no to an unequally yolked relationship, you are demonstrating to that person patience, self control, and the influence of God in your life. VS compromise, idol worship (putting man over God), desperation, hypocrisy. The blessings of God will fit perfectly into your life.

This is so informative. As women especially, we settle very easily. Mostly because we think we can't get anyone better or we're running out of time. We limit God when we do that, we need to trust and wait on the Lord according to Isaiah 40:31 and remember that the Lord's ways are higher than ours and His thoughts are higher than ours. Prayer and meditating on the word of God like you said is very important.

I have just left a 7 and a half year long relationship because I began my process of sanctification and we just disagree on such fundamental values regarding faith. My heart is broken and I want so badly to run back and stay with him but while I am with him I feel guilt for not being able to follow God's will. Either way I see things my heart is conflicted and I just don't want to keep leading him on if I don't see a future here. My heart hurts. I will that I could just stay and that things would change but I am not finding rest in that relationship anymore. I'm trying to be set apart and I can't do that with someone who still chooses this world over the God of the entire universe. I am absolutely devastated and I am questioning whether this walk is even for me.

In my case it was loneliness and hormones. I craved sex. I realize these were strongholds. Spirits. Jesus got me out.

The challenge that comes with walking away is that you leave the other party hurt; you are more of the villain; and yes, guilt and condemnation is not from God but you remain a bad person in the other's history. what happened to helping the unbeliever meet Jesus? Thank you for your response. It's not an easy road especially because we put ourselves in these situations at times knowing very well that God disapproves in His word and we continue to hurt each other. Above the guilt and condemnation there is a peace that Christ provides as we choose obedience over sacrificing our devotion for a relationship He disapproves of. We continue to pray for the ones we hurt along the way and plead with the Lord for their salvation from a distance. We simply don't have the power to bring anyone to salvation, it is by grace. And that grace requires of us to not be with anyone who hasn't received it in order for it to do its work.

@arii baby salvation is granted only by the grace of God, we pray in faith and hope that the Lord will have mercy on them. It's not something we choose for ourselves entirely or even for others. I say all of this to say it's not a guarantee that this person in particular will be saved once you distance yourself. We distance for our own good first, so that we're in the right standing with the Lord according to scripture and if God chooses to save those we love then all glory to Him.

I prayed and he started distancing himself. It's now 2 weeks and he told me to stop calling him. He will be back with his time. Meanwhile I was crying but every time I cry, I remember of the prayer I did and the lie and screat that is revealed but still I hurting I don't know why. But I know it's for the best

My husband and i have been off and on for 6 months. God kept revealing to me that my husband was on a path to hell and i was in paradise. And when i tried to hold on to him while my true kingdom spouse was waiting for me, my angel told me "you cant do that Brianna". And its best to let go. Even though you want the relationship. God knows best. Because those relationships never work.

I’m in a unequally yoked relationship for 17 years I was raised in a Born again church and I had back slid when I got into the relationship he doesn’t have or believe in anything I believe in and today I now want to fully be committed and spread the word of God but it’s hard bc I’m in this relationship and we have 3 kids by together and he mocks my belief and says I’m not a true believer and also says a lot of hurtful things and we are Not married we are engaged for a few years now and something is holding me back to even marry him. At this point I no longer want to be in the relationship but it’s hard to leave when I’m a stay at home mom with no help or guidance so I feel stuck please pray for a miracle to happen for myself and 3 children I feel so lost I believe and have faith but I also know I need to do my part😞 and I do pray and read the word but I get attacked every day

🙏🏾 God gives you the strength This will probably be one of the ultimate test of faith for you. Leaving is you choosing God, leaving is you showing you trust God. Leaving is you choosing yourself! It sounds like an emotionally and verbally abusive situation. Pray Make a plan pray-and execute. I know it’s easier said than done but God wants us to live in peace of mind in wholeness and in truth

You must leave him. Even if you have 3 kids. If nothing changes, nothing changes. Don't enable him! I know it's hard. I get it but 17 years, sis? If u must... get public assistance. Anything but being stuck in sin, pining over this man. Who knows, maybe if he loses you, he'll turn to Christ.

She should have clarified that this is not permitted if you are in an unequally yolked marriage. In fact, if you leave your wife/husband you are actually going against the word of God. You must stay in your marriage if the nonbeliever stays with you, but you must also let them go if they decide to leave. You being a Christian saves your spouse.

Pray for him. Share the faith with him. Find a man of God to introduce him to so he is surrounded by people who encourage him to love God. And finally be patient. Finally still follow the bible get married and not have sex out of marriage. Obedience is better than sacrifice. If the Holy Spirit is convicting you listen. Don’t delay. May God give you wisdom. Then It will be necessary to walk away. You can't force a person to live for God. This will be a very hard decision to make especially for your child sake but it's best to obey God and walk away from the relationship. God will bless you with a man that will set a good example for you child. I faced a similar situation also. I left my son's father and I'm now living for God. I have faith that one day he will send a Godly man into our lives.
