Tough Day at Bald Knob Lake

Had a tough day on Bald Knob Lake. Very few fish caught. Spawning beds were void of fish....but found a few quality fish. Always a ton of fun fishing with Diplomat Extreme 62 UL rod. Going to get out again as soon as possible. Hope you enjoy the video....and thanks for watching.

Glad to hear you mention Bedford Lake. I grew up going over there with my grandad who lived nearby. Haven't heard much the last several years. The last time I went it was very slow and not how I remembered. Might try it sometime later in May. Good luck to you!

Hope those bluegill turn up for you next trip. You weren’t joking when you said the catches were quality fish. Wow! Beautiful, healthy fellas. The bluegill bite is still a bit slow here, too… but I have been fortunate enough to land a few nice Red Breast so far this Spring. Great video, Randy!

don't despair. Fished Laurell Hill today and it was the same. Some beds with no fish on them. I don't think it was fished out that soon though.. i found some pretty tucked in beds and very few people can fish those out and they were empty too. My theory is that water dropped a little and was extremely clear and the fish on those beds felt exposed. A little rain and stain in the water and they will move back in there
