Hey Lauren, I am currently on the Hexatrex and in Grenoble! Funny hearing you had a day at the cinema to see Barbie and this year I am here to watch Alien. Thank you so much for your videos, Lauren. I have been waiting for someone to do exactly this so I can check out what Hexatrek is actually like and determine whether I'm going to do this trail. Question for you: do you think it is feasible to use a hammock sleep system on this trail?

Glad you're enjoying them! I'm going to be putting out some resources on my Patreon for folks looking to plan their own hike. :) As for a hammock, it would definitely not be possible for most of the trail. There are probably a thousand kilometres without access to trees for that, mainly the alps and the pyrenees.

I can understand very well the kind of problem you experienced in Grenoble, it's a real problem that we have here in France with many men from African and North African immigration. As soon as they see a young woman and especially a woman with blond hair they behave like animals. unfortunately it's like this more and more in France...but...silence...you must not say anything otherwise you are accused of racism.
