So did I. I'm 73 and it depends on your level of education. Most aging persons are not senile!! And if you watch some of the answers young people give while being interviewed in the streets, I think éducation was much better 60 years ago. Some people don't even know that DC stands for for District of Columbia and can't name any continent on the map , and don't even ask about a specific country! I' m not even a native english speaking person. Why do you imply seniors are stupid or uneducated or senile????

I agree with you but would add that being older many of us have lived through the events outlined in questions, visited many of the countries mentioned and have witnessed a revolving door of many of the luminaries too. I have always believed education is what happens when you leave school, university or wherever. Experiencing and observing life as one lives it is irreplaceable.

YT has some vids showing how little American college students know. One couldn't answer how many minutes were in a quarter of an hr? Who was the first president? How many states we have in America? When was the war of 1812? I kid you not!!!

As a near senior (I am 65), I gained 49/50. I am a retired scientist hence many obscure were in my factual "brain bank". Other general questions were very easy. This is a knowledge quiz, not a test of memory. BTW The Pakistan flag was a give-away.

I never knew the answers to many of the questions. But every question about things I actually learned about I was correct and I even guessed correctly some I had no idea about because it was not something I ever learned. Not even in College.

Same here at 73. They do not really test your memory because if you never heard or read that particular fact before, it would not be in your memory to forget!

Age 77 and I got the same score, however do admit there were a few I guessed at using the process of elimination. In other words, score may not have been as high if there were more choices rather than just three.

I missed 5 or 6 of them, but it wasn't due to memory loss. It was things that I never learned that got me. One example who in the hell knows that the atom was split in 1932. Logic would indicate that year since that was the closest to when the nukes were developed, but logic does not always work as, the can opener was not invented until forty eight years after the tin can.

Hmm, 2% will pass but it doesn't say what the pass % is; neither does it say what the minimum age for a "senior" is, but what it does do is imply "seniors" score lower than younger people, whilst giving no reason. I'm 69, and my score was 34, not very good, but for the ones I got right I didn't just use memory, I did a couple of educated guesses and used the process of elimination in one instance. The ones I got wrong were not because I'd forgotten but because I'd never known in the first place. Good quiz, shame about the title.

This isn't a "memory" quiz its a general knowledge quiz. Look. This tests prior exposure not current exposure. Meaning it tests our ability to learn of things that we were exposed to in the past tense rather than present tense. I'm 82 and visit my PCP they now test my short term memory but NOT my long term memory. For example they'll tell me 3 things and to remember them. Then they'll move on. But before ending our little chat they'll ask me to repeat those 3 things. Well I have a lousy short term memory so sometimes I forget. However I then ask them to pull up a list of my meds on their computer and note the amount that I take. Ask me to repeat any one of them and I'll nail them all. Oh what's your address here? And I proceed to tell them. I also drove here from 20 miles away and its by far from a straight shot. Here's another thing. If you delve into my interest areas its unlikely that you will do better but very likely that you will do much worse regardless of your age.
