Dont know Orford but as a Villa fan I can say Duran is a quality very exciting young player. His 'attitude" is entriely down to the fact he cant get in ahead of Watkins and he wont. Could be a win/win for all parties.

Yeah he's probably frustrated that Watkins has hit such amazing form which means his own opportunities have possibly been more limited than he initially thought when he signed. I think that he would be a good player for us if he signed, but it's still a gamble and losing Orford would be a loss, but our current need for a striker outweighs any other problem and we'll probably have to pay through the nose to address it. Great business for Villa if it were to go ahead, hoovering up another young talent and making serious profit off of a fringe player!

Although we don’t want Lewis Orford to be used in this deal, there is obviously a belief that he is behind ‘x’ in development or will come good at the same time as him and get blocked getting into the first team. If this is the case they may have decided to do this now whilst they have the opportunity rather than wait and create a bigger problem later on.
