Quick update on the Ranger and Everest Tremor - we mentioned in the podcast that they were limited editions. Ford have informed us the Everest is "a permanent addition to the lineup". Ranger is a limited run though. Should Ford keep offering the Ranger Tremor but with a V6?

My Dad bought a Suzuki 4WD (second hand) in about 1980. Over the years, 5 out of 7 kids in our family ended up driving it, one crashed and rolled it, and it is now retired to a country property, with holes in the floor and a weed-spraying tank set up in the back. 44 years later, still going, still towing. Amazing car. Being a value-for-money kinda guy, we all joked that the Suzuki was Dad's favourite child.

I liked the look of the Ranger Tremor with the ready-to-go 4x4ing, but not offering it in the V6 is a bit of a deal breaker for me

I think the HKS supercharger kits solve the torque issue on the Jimny, though I don't know what that means for its reliability

Ranger is 4 cylinder bi-turbo, Everest is V6 Diesel, which is what Paul said too.

@@Gdsamplify they've already made a loss, if they can sell a few here thats less bespoke parts needing to be scrapped. its not hard to convert from LHD and Australia has a few very good converting company's that often produce finished cars that are better than the original

The engine is working, not you, and it is doing what it is designed to do-run at high revs. Why do people get so shocked with high revs? So what? Why does the engine revving equate with physical labour for the driver? The driver has to just move a steering wheel, and push a couple of pedals. We have the manual as well as the auto. Both are fine.

@@LCBBuilders yeap it’s my opinion. Mind you, it’s only ‘third world’ countries like Australia that hang onto diesels. High pressure fuel systems, DPFs, adblue and all the add on exhaust gas management systems to clean up emissions really impact their function, cost of running and longevity. Most manufacturers are moving away from diesel in passenger car capacity for a reason. Watch hybrids take over the Ute market in the next 5 years.
