Especially since the 3.0 V6 Diesel is in the newly announced Ford Everest Tremor based on basically the same vehicle! Not that I want either as the Twin Turbo Petrol is all I want on the next ute for me, but weird the Ranger went with the 4 cylinder.

They won’t sell many with the 4 cylinder in my opinion. The V6 diesel suits the car so much more you’d be better off getting a sport V6 and getting suspension mods and all terrain tyres put on by the after market.

I think ford have had to add these value editions, as the current Ranger range has gone welll beyond the man in the street price, unless you have some kind of tax advantage , private ownership isn’t feasible even at 70 K it’s a big ask. The 4 cylinder definitely gives me Tremors. Highly stressed grenade engine….just like most new cars. Always choose a little more under stressed engine if available. If the V6 diesel was similarly stressed…It would be 235kw and 750Nm.

Interesting video and review. Not sure if you have noticed it, but in South Africa some people are having some issue especially in sand. The vehicle cuts all the power going to the wheels, this means that you cannot spin out of sandy situations when stuck (this is even with the TC etc turned off). Not sure if anyone in Aus have experienced the same?

They found the problem, it has something to do with a sensor in front. Gives a signal that stops the wheels from turning with low range on. Not exactly sure on the technicals of it.

The FX4 package doesn't usually impact payload or tow rating other than the extra weight it introduces. Tremors usually lose a little of both and get a small lift (2" or so). Also, Tremor is only available on a short box and costs a lot more than the FX4. FX4 on my F450 was $495 usd.

Did you notice the front get pushed around, it's not only braking the inside wheel, primary drive going to rear opposing wheel to push front around like that. Don't recall seeing any Tank turn that tight, basically the tank just drags on the braked wheel which does assist but it's not as aggressive as Ford's. Thumbs up to Ford, they've grabbed a Toyota top model feature only, greatly improved on it and placed it in a Ranger. Tank turn about to improve, they'll pinch Ford's tech.

I seriously only bought my 2022 rogue just because Toyota dealership net work in Australia is huge compared to other brands. Easy to get service and Toyota are generally pretty good with customer service. I also didnt have to wait 1 year for my ute, unlike other brands at the time. However i prefer the ranger v6 over the rogue anyday. Problem for me is every servicing time, i have to drive 50km to the next town to have it done if i get anything else but toyotas. in my opinion, all these dual cab should ditch the leaf springs setup and go with coils and add air bags for load carrying. Leaf springs is the only thing i dont like about my hilux.

Not everyone wants a dual cab for work mate. I need mine to tow long distances. Top of the range rogue still ride like a tank. Test drove them both. They are like a limousine. Glides over everything and still can carry 700kg and pull 3.5t/4.5t with ease.

@@MrNoidea247 I have the cable and FORSCAN, but have not modified anything yet. I plan to swap my tires from 225/70R19.5 to 265/7-R19.5 and can change the tire size to correct the speedometer. So far I haven't heard of any warranty denials due to modifying settings.

Also can turn the ‘accessories’ on for 2 hours after ignition off. That would be very handy for fridges and usb charging etc. 2 hours won’t drain the battery. Speaking of which. The default charge max level is only 80%. I’d change that to 100% also
