@kdcampo The hitbox is the little white circle in the middle of Reimu's sprite. You can only see it when she's in focus mode. Try looking for a moment when the whole screen is covered in bullets - the sprite will slow down and the white dot will appear because the player went into focus mode. Additionally, each BULLET also has a hitbox - especially with larger bullets, the hitbox is often smaller than the bullet itself.

@rosabellis Take advantage of them, that's why they're there. You can either (a) try to zip through the bullets while they're slow, (b) look at all the bullets, determine their trajectories, and pick a "safe spot" before time runs out, or (c) do a mix of (a) and (b). Which one you do comes down to your style and what difficulty you're on (for example, lunatic play mostly involves style (c)).

and that hitbox is the white point that you can see when he focuses to shoot (when he focuses, the 2 small balls at the side of the character moves up, then you can see the white point)

Youmu's non-spells can be redirected on any difficulty, but I usually fuck up misdirecting the second wave, so I usually end up bombing.

+Edward Bottle I am incredibly bad at misdirection, so Youmu's nonspells are the hardest part of the fight for me. Her spellcards actually aren't too bad, for the most part.

You need to pass the point of collection (PoC). Draw an imaginary line across the screen where the bomb counter is, and that's where you need to go. Note that for it to work, you also need full power.

@ProgInternetExplorer Any single bullet in this game can kill you. How to avoid this, as you can probably imagine, is to dodge them. You're provided with a reasonably small hitbox in order to realistically accomplish this.

I used this to come up with my strategy on this level, and after 1 week of playing it I got all the available points (not score) in the level... on easy... and then lost the no death, no bomb, no shield break run in Heaven's Sword. FML. Getting all the points after Hell God Sword is all luck.

Utsuho's first spellcard is easy, yet... gah, it just IS easy to mess up. The second I have yet to capture... :| That one just hates me. The third... well, I have a feeling ZUN is crying about how easy that one is. Fourth is intimidating but I don't think it's hard at all. Fifth is... dumb. Period.

I really hate vsing Youmu. All her non spell cards are harder then her spell cards. The only reason why I think her non spell cards are harder is because her spell cards can be directed. The slow down actually gave me time to redirect myself for a second to dodge them. But stage 5 and Youmu herself has some really good themes though made the fight alot more enjoyable.

Yeah, I just wish that that first dodge after the slowdown didn't happen. It was so luck infested, take a look at it: I slip right through the center of 3 bullets as I move around awkwardly and nervously. Even when I have a perfect run, I still complain. Someone should slap me >_>
