Great presentation on those class Bs! Really exciting to see how they are improving the spaces and design. However, I’m amazed at how some still fail to provide accessibility with respect to Julie’s size as well as others’ height, as in the case of my tall husband. The Coach House was nice, but the toilets really seem very cramped! I do Julie’s toilet test now when we go shopping...it’s great idea! Appreciated all the info you shared-thank you! Liked your other videos on this RV show too!

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, they are really nice, and we definitely understand the appeal. We even have some friends who have downsized and really like it. We still love our Class A coach, but can see ourselves doing some Class B travel when our workload is a bit lower.

I like an upbeat look at RV's as anybody but as full-timers, were there features you did NOT like about each of these models? Features and layouts are good to know but we can get that from a brochure. We need your impressions, you experienced critique and a "gut-feel" of whether these rigs are worth owning. Thanks for the video.

There were certainly features we didn't like, but largely around access for Julie. Livibility of floorplans is pretty personal. For example, we love the expanded living space offered by murphy beds and fold out couches for sleeping space in some of the Bs and Cs. But... that also means that you need to convert the bed back and forth frequently. Depending on travel style, it might be preferred to have beds that stay set up as beds. Especially a problem if the slide out room needs to be out in order for the bed to be used. At other shows, we came across some floor plans that looked good on paper, but in person, you could not open the fridge without folding up the bed. We were mostly focusing on RVs we liked at this show.

I would love a class B-plus. BUT dollar for dollar from what I've seen you can get a really nice smaller class C for the same money or less!!! I feel personally That they have over priced the class B's... It's all supply and demand!!!

The B's that they showed are high end . Yes, you can get a C for a lot less but you have to look at the quality. I have a Coach House. It is all one piece shell, the roof will never leak. It is all high end and the service they provide is great. Since it is only sold at the factory, I take it back there for service.

Great job, as usual. To be fair, the Coach House and Leisure Travel Vans motor homes are far from Class B's. The only thing keeping them from being Class C's is the lack of an overcab bed. Like a Class C, these coaches are built on a truck chassis, not a van. We just attended an RV show in Chicago, and a Leisure Travel Van coach was right next to a Roadtrek Simplicity, and it dwarfed the Roadtrek. Also, you missed the great drawer freezer in the RT Haven.

Thanks for your feedback. We know that those couple coaches are not technically B's, but when talking to a couple manufacturers in the past about these types of coaches, they have agreed that even though B+ is technically not a RV type, it is so widely used by the consumer base that many in the industry have embraced the use of the B+ term for these types of RVs. As you mentioned in your comment above, a common transition point into Class C is when there is an overcab bed. So, we decided to include these wide body heavier chassis Bs as B+ for the sake of this video, and will keep similar RVs with cab over sleeping in the Class C video.

I understand Pleasureway has a great warranty on their Motorhomes, compared to the other companies reviewed, would that warranty come into play in deciding which one to purchase? Thanks, Dave

We do believe that a number of Class B and B+ can be lived in full time comfortably by one person. Two people is possible as well, but definitely more challenging. Warranties are always a consideration, but also know that you can get extended service contracts from companies like Wholesale Warranties on most RVs, bit.ly/wswarranty

From what I've heard, the Roadtrek Haven at the show was an "almost production" prototype. Thus no pricing info and a few, glitchy things (like the handle on the bathroom door - perfect for hooking yourself on).

Hello David. Yes, we did record an interview with Steve from Coach House. We were really impressed with that product and company. Unfortunately, we have not posted that video yet, which is why you can't find it. We might revisit our Tampa show footage on the heels of the California show, and might still end up posting it.

The Canadian-made models exude better quality by just looking at a few details and general appearance. However, the prices seem way too high in exchange for better agility and fuel economy while sacrificing useable interior space. If you are not a full-time RV users, true class C coaches like the non-slideout Winnebago Minnie Winnies or Outlooks at comparable lengths can be had for around $60-70K. Higher fuel cost and maybe less access to parking spaces or campground of course but just how many miles would you have to travel to make up for the huge price differences?

Definitely pros and cons to both. Yes, you can buy much more space with other types of RVs, like the ones you mention. All comes down to travel style.

The quality is different between typical American C class and Canadian B, B+ models. To some it matters. LTV Unity, Serenity models have amazing resale for a motorhome. Ditto most class B vans from known builders.

The PW widebodies are really Class Cs but sometimes call B+. But basically they are the same cutaway chassis as Class Cs.

Agreed. Sorry for any confusion. So many refer to them as Class B+ we put them in here. Keeping Class C focused on larger with cab over sleeping.

I believe we saw the Leisure Travel version, but we didn't have much time with it. We saw many Murphy Bed units at the show. Very popular now. Offers a lot of living space. Great idea.

Leisure Travel brought the Murphy Bed concept to B+ motorhomes around 10 years ago. It is the other builders who have copied LTV.

If the show price is $120K I can get one for $104K. Those show prices are high and by july the price will be evn less than the RV lot price now. Those show prices are a ripoff people.

Show prices are not special. If you can't buy for 33-35% off a current year MSRP it's time to walk. PLUS a display model at a show has had more foot traffic and abuse then it would have in five years normally. Good place to look and see but not to buy. Best deal can be had on a rainy, snowy day.

We totally agree that shows are a good place to go to compare models, but not to buy, and that the prices at the show can often be had at the dealership. We only shared the prices, because when asking our audience about what they wanted to see from our visit to the show, we had many people ask us to share the prices. Thank you for your comment.

@@Rvlove and best of all if you don't have to have the "newest thing" were at the new model year. Soon 2019 models left on the lot can be realistically bought for 40-45% off MSRP. Just a word of caution though; a lot of them have been sitting in the summer sun on the dealer's lot............check the roof seals.

We understand that these B+ are a body added to a chassis like other C Class and can therefore be technically called Cs. A common transition point into Class C is when there is an overcab bed. So, we decided to include these wide body heavier chassis Bs as B+ for the sake of this video, and will keep similar RVs with cab over sleeping in the Class C video.

The Leisure Wonder is not a Class B, or a B+. There is no such thing as a B+ RV. The Wonder is a Class C. There is a simple distinction between a Class B and a Class C. A Class B RV is built on a unibody van chasis which has the classic minivan style sliding door. The RV manufacturer receives a the unibody van from Ford or MB and essentially does a modification. The Class C is built on a truck frame equipped with the cab only. The living portion of the rig is dropped onto the chassis. That is why there is a conventional door behind the passenger door on the cab. The Wonder has always been a Class C. If you ever watched any of Dean's vlogs on the different Leisure models you would know that. Next time you put a vlog out on the web, do a modicum of research on the rigs you're reviewing. Whoever told you the Leisure Wonder was a B or a B+ did you a disservice.
