Love it.. Thanks for sharing. I am a direct descendant of Joseph Bouzage and Catherine Baudreau (my 6th g grandparents ).. and a Mississippi Gulf coast resident. I have spent a lot of time on Dauphin Island but not so much in Bayou la Batre. . as a matter of fact, we are heading over next month for a long family weekend on the island.

"Hi" from Irvington, Alabama. My grandparents are in that graveyard. The Sydney's has the best C.O.B. (chicken sandwich). The Greers has actually grown in size about 6 times. The old Mexican restaurant actually used to be a Hardees. The "Black Pearl" from Pirate of the Caribbean was built in Bayou La Batre. Not sure what brings you to Bayou La Batre, but message me if you got any questions!

When I was a teenager I lived in the Bayou and moved away for many years. We recently acquired a house in the Bayou, and our plan is to remodel it and use it as our home base.

The company I worked for, Steward Machine Co., supplied the machinery as well as some of the super structure for this bridge. I had a picture but I was unable to post it. I enjoyed watching your video.

It is a neat little town, mostly a fishing village with small shipyards. If you ever head down that way, check out Dauphin Island and Bayou La Batre. Thank you watching and commenting.

That’s a great video brother, you did a fantastic job, @ 14:54 Just on the east side of that bridge back in the day on the right was Landry boat works and they built the most beautiful wooden boats, west of DESCO Marine, in Saint Augustine, Florida..

When I worked on shrimp boats back in the late 70s early 80s, we would buy groceries for our trips at Greers and Greers will deliver them down to our boat. We would buy $300 to $400 dollars of groceries back then, I couldn’t imagine what it would be under FJB Bidens economy.😢😢
@tgif3657
@tgif3657 10 ай бұрын
I think Greers still delivers, I know they pull the orders. I bet those same groceries would cost over $1200
