Nice Job Messi on your first ever WR with the acel bug. This has to be one of the best accomplishments for a player for beating a WR that no one ever thought would get taken down due to the bug from wave 5 which means you did everything well and fast in the run and being more strated 😎

Changing the WRs to be slower than they once were was a mistake. .528 was the previous record, not .542 I expect Toad's Turnpike and Paris Promenade to be beaten at some point in the future, hopefully without any major strat changes

Nope. London is debatable but Paris and Toad’s Turnpike, the accel bug records must exist. Those tracks will never get beat. Only reason I beat London is because I’m built different.

I want it to get beaten too, but I’m not so sure it will. It’s one of the simplest and easiest tracks to optimize in the game, and so a strong WR before the bug would make beating the pre-bug run now close to, if not entirely impossible.

@@Vuxzlo In one of the updates, a bug was introduced that makes you slow down after a boost faster than you’re supposed to on 200cc. The impact of this on most tracks is marginal and ultimately irrelevant, but on a few select tracks like Toad’s Turnpike, it makes a noticeable enough difference to where some record are, or are/were thought to be unbeatable. 200cc London Loop was one of the tracks affected by this, but this run just proved that it wasn’t impossible after all.

I don’t know who made the very poor choice of changing this tracks WR history forever, but calling something unbeatable only for it to then be beaten less than 2 weeks later is not a very good look for your community 👍 SMK is well over 30 years old and still has WR activity. Just saying.
