🤣 and I would prefer tank tops with a scoop neck, because it is so hot here in Miami. That’s all I wear. Nothing with sleeves of any kind or a high neck. So my options are always beyond limited to purchasing anything.

I love the way you change out your quilts for the season. They look great. I would simply add a red bowl or vase and a white star dish on the coffee table to make the blue and white more red white and blue. I am interested in getting your Holiday Hoopla book as well. It looks like it has some great little projects in it. I never really considered doing small wall hangings like you little button peices. They are so cute!!! One of my favorite summer quilts is one that I made from a thrift store purchase. It is a baby bumper set that is embroidered with sea creatures, turtles, octopus and fish. I cut it apart and used it to make a cute summer quilt. I like tio repurpse things as much as possible. Thanks for sharing your home with us! 🥰

Loved that those quilts are still with me. My love of all fabric came from my grandmother Schlosser, she was one of my life blessings!💕

The little button quilts are so precious! ❤ I liked the lighthouse (?) on the hill with the flagpole quilt. It was neat to see some new ( to me and probably others) quilts in the lineup 😁💗 I have a quilt panel of Canada in an Indigenous design that I pull out each year to display for Canada day July 1. The simple blue and white runner for your coffee table is charming. A red bowl would complete the look.🤍💙❤️😀

I love when you go through the various quilts you have and then change out your décor. I have 1 quilt I have hanging and not enough to switch them out yet. But I will get there! And I don't think we use fun things like buttons on quilts enough. Or other crafty pursuits like embroidery. Have a fabulous weekend!

Thank you for the tour. I love color so at times it is just a splash of colors. But I do try to compliment colors..right now it is hot colors, red,pink, yellow..but you are right about not having a certain type...table topper, pillows when needed. I don't make"smalls" but need them.❤ would be nice to exchange with someone. 😂

Back in the days when you did Jury Duty for 10 awful days stuck in the waiting room to even see if you were going to be called, I hand quilted an entire wall hanging of "Quilt as You Go" squares so that I could use a smallish hoop and carry it around in a large bag. Got alot of stares but kept my sanity.

A local quilt shop in NS Canada last summer the owner did a video where she and a friend went to a local camping area, set up all their tables and sewed outside for a couple of days. That would be sew fun!

Pat, I love seeing how you decorate your home with your quilts! I don't have as many to make a big switch, so some of mine always stay up. I also have a limited number of quilts and store them by holiday/season on multi-level skirt hangers by holiday/season. They take up the space in my closet that used to be for work clothing, but now that I am retired, I have filled up my closets with sewing-related items. I have a small bedroom used for piecing and fabric storage. Recently, I moved my 11-inch throat sewing machine downstairs to my home office where I have a large table in front of the sewing machine for quilting larger quilts. It faces 50 acres of woodland and is so peaceful. After our daughter's wedding on July 5th, I'll get back to quilting some of my UFO's.

Thanks so much for this Pat. We are probably not suppose to reference other videos, but Sheri at A Quilting Life, just released a video of tiny quilt pillows made from orphan blocks. I was thinking of your 3 level tiers that you said "I want to spruce up". I have no idea what you have in that Orphan Block basket, but if you have some red or blue or red, white and blue orphan blocks, she shows these adorable pillows. It could possibly fill in the holes you said you would like to fill. Sure goes faster than cross stitch pillows:)

Hi Pat! Our quilt show is this weekend, I went yesterday. I was able to get a little over 3 yds (all they had) of the Old Glory cheater fabric you backed the one quilt with!! A town about an hr. away has a new quilt shop & they are one of our vendors. I got it from them 😊😊 I love touring your house. I need to change out the quilt on the couch & loveseat. I still have spring-colored ones on them 🤣🤣

I love your color choices for the red white and blue color scheme quilts. They are crisp and soft at the same time, which I really find appealing. That scrappy border really makes that picnic quilt sing. I was inspired by your charm border on the liberty box block to frame a panel for a quilt for my dad. It was the first quilt I completed when I restarted my quilting journey after a break of more than 20 years.

I enjoy seeing how you incorporate your quilts into your home and changing them out every season or so. Years ago I was a Realtor and would see people hang them over their balconies if their home had one, but they didn’t change them out. My husband and I live in a ranch style with a full basement. You have given me tons of ideas to do once I get all the grandkids (4), and adult kids and son-in-law one made. I am working on a black and cream one for us which will probably go on our bed, but I made a quilt top with gorgeous bright Batiks with a bright white background. It is the binding tool pattern and is gorgeous. I might hang it up in my living room. I do have a question about that and the light. Does the sun fade the fabric if it isn’t directly on it?

thank you! If you leave the same quilt out for a VERY long time, it will fade. It fades on your bed. on your wall, across the sofa. Keeping changing them, keep making them. don't be afraid of light

Good morning and so cool to see your "changing of the quilts"! Couple of comments: Love, love, love the RWB squares quilt on the wall. It looks like it did fit on the rod, you didn't use the cafe clips after all? The "Hoopla" quilt layout looks like it was made for the back of the couch! Gosh darn it, am I going have to make one now? How about a red bowl (or figurine or vase with red flowers) to sit on the blue strips runner? I'm doing that with a favorite blue and white quilt I have on a chair -- I'm adding a pillow with red in it (as soon as I finish it, that is) to add some red for the season to the chair display. I like the Eagle quilt up for the season since it still fits the patriotic theme. Could you get some mini decorative flags to pin on to it to bring some RWB flavor to it so it "fits in" more? Oh and the other day when you said it was "Donut Day" I wondered why you didn't show your "Breakfast Club" with the Donut block. I too was just thinking it was time to change out to the RWB quilts so since I'm always inspired by you, I will start on that now. Hopefully I will also finally get to making "Breakfast Club" too, LOL!! Enjoy your long weekend! P.S. You mentioned you have a vintage quilt. I have one that my great grandmother made for my father’s high school graduation gift. I am guessing it is approximately 80 years old. It’s been on my guest bed but covered by a sheet or in my cedar chest since I got it. Do you have a suggestion on the best way to care for older quilts so they can be passed on to future generations?
