Thanks Brian! Glad I could help create more lower category content. I love consuming it. As you mentioned I started in triathlon. Got serious in 2018 and culminated with the Madison Ironman in 2019. I then fell in love with cycling with plans to start racing in 2020.. well that didn't quite work out. I did attempt Everesting twice in 2020, failing both times 😆. 2021 is when I actually started racing bikes. Crits, cyclocross, even a WORS mtn bike race. I got serious for my 2022 season last September sticking to a Trainer Road adaptive mid volume plan(6-8 hours/week) based on crit racing. Got my FTP up to 325 at 185lb, about 3.85 w/kg. The cat 4 ToAD series is my "A race" of the year and my top focus. Timing is great too because my first born is due the first week of July!

Give Jesse a follow on IG @jesse2dags - any questions/comments for Jesse, he'll be in the comments. Great race Jesse, tighten up that cornering and you'll be racing Cat 1-2 in no time!

Thanks so much! This is quality advice I'll be using in my races. I believe that one guy who bailed in that corner dropped his chain. Also another reason not to be as far back as I was. I didn't realize there was a 2 man breakaway off the front most of the race. 3 laps to go is when the break was caught but I only learned of this after the race. Lessons learned.

Guy who pulled the plug at 5:45 here...I dropped my chain there. Just getting myself out of the way. :)
