I love that Tommy D actually does videos about NYC without all the doom and gloom all the other NYC videos seem to highlight lately

I feel like Cash Jordan used to be a lot more positive, but I think his followers and views spiked after a couple "New York Apocalypse" videos, so now that is all he does. I consider him yellow journalism now. Everything is exaggerated 10 times. Kinda sad, but I guess he is probably earning a lot more. I really used to like his channel. On the other hand, Here Be Barr is amazing. Great recommendation.

Hey Tom! I was sitting by you in Union Square today when you were filming! I didn’t wanna interrupt and then couldn’t catch you before you left… just wanted to say I love the content and it was awesome to see you out in your element! Was a great day for it ☀️

In the 1970s, my grandparents lived in the building that you showed at the 20:50 mark where Truman Capote also lived. The building owner gave them a nice book on the history of Turtle Bay, so this was a fun video for me. As kids we used to play in the neighborhood, including all around and inside the UN, obvious before all the security precautions.

Another great one Tom. I lived in Tudor City back in the late seventies, but never knew the history. After the UN was built, the city has been trying to get them to move out, because they were the biggest scofflaws in unpaid parking tickets.

Another great one to be put in the Time Capsule of the 20th Century for future generations to decipher what a "tech bro's monthly budget for Patagoina vests was." P.s. One time I figured out that when Eva Gabor looks out at Manhattan from her apartment balcony, in the beginning of Green Acres, and says "give me Park Avenue" - she is in an apartment above Dag Hammarskjold Plaza looking northwest toward Park Avenue.

Dude…. We used to have a Pig farm in North Las Vegas and My X’s Grandmother sold Her Beautiful Large home on about 1.5-2 acre lot in Lynwood, Washington , it was a beautiful setup She sold Her home of decades and moved to Las Vegas to be closer to Her family who had moved out here She moved into some very nice new homes in North Las Vegas but they were not as beautiful as her previous home in Washington and when she bought the home the pig farm was not stenching that day because it was only at certain times of the day Mostly the pigs PM later part of the day it would start smelling so bad Poor lady after she moved in she found out about the pig farm and man that place would smell so bad it would make me completely sick , I’d gag to the point of almost throwing up from it just running to My truck It was so disgusting I felt so bad for her If I knew I would’ve given her a heads up but I didn’t have any idea until after she was already moved here But man…. So glad they got rid of that disgusting smelling place and moved it further outside the city now But at 1x it was already outside the city of Las Vegas Until it just kept growing and eventually surrounded the stench of a pig farm They had to dig down 6ft to get all the bad soil out to get rid of the smell in that area It was just about 5yr ago that this happened
