Love the inside of the Greenhouse (very clean) & I really like the dresser (like Janey said when she toured). You designed the garden area around it so nicely 👍 as well.

Yes your garden is my style too but I haven’t had much good fortune. I am 70 now and just can’t work in yard due to this heat and the mosquitoes are horrible for me. LOVE your gardens

Glad I found you (fellow Ohioan here) thanks to Janey. Your yard is beautiful. I'll definitely be watching more. Not sure if it was a setting when you recorded or something I was doing, but I only had your voice in one ear pod but when you added in music it was in both.

I saw the video when Janey toured your beautiful garden. I have an idea for the space between your house and the neighbors where you have the hydrangeas. You have a nice large area that gets good sunlight, that would be a good place to add conifers. You would get some privacy and some winter interest AND it could become a new obsession! There are so many cool conifers. Looking forward to your next video.
@NicksBackyardBlooms3 ай бұрын
I too have thought of doing that. I just need to be careful because I don’t want to block any more sun from getting to my greenhouse. I might start close to my house and work my way back.

Absolutely beautiful garden with such attention to detail. Obviously a real labor of love. How do you create such perfect borders? A video showing your process would be great! Thanks so much for sharing for garden on Janie’s channel. Lovely.

Thank you for your kind words. I usually use a straight shovel in spring to clean up all of my edges and then the rest of the year I have an electric Ryobi trimmer that also turns into an edge. It has a wheel on it, so you can just run it along the edge to create a clean line.

Thanks for the helpful tips! A follow-up question- how do you make such precise circles, ovals and graceful swoops?
@NicksBackyardBlooms3 ай бұрын
Usually in the spring when the ground is really saturated I take a straight edged shovel and clean up my line. The rest of the year I use my electric trimmer/edger. It has a wheel on it, so it’s very easy to just push around the yard. The one I have is a Ryobi brand. Hope this helps.

I found you by watching your garden on Janey's tour this morning and after watching both of the videos you posted on your channel, I think of all of the garden channels I follow I see myself in you more than anyone else. I love your style and how it seems you like to have everything perfect, clean and neat. I also try to have my garden look that way. I also am always moving plants, adding plants, and reviving containers, especially since I live in Houston with a long growing season. I live in the suburbs though where our houses are so close together and I think my neighbors think I am crazy because I am the only one who is always out planting something 😂. I am certain they call me the crazy plant lady! I can't wait to see your channel and garden grow!

Hi Nick, I’m in Northeast Ohio. I just watched the tour you did with Janey. Your gardens are beautiful and so is your greenhouse. I’m glad you included your potting area in this video. Thank you for sharing your garden with us. My sympathies on the Japanese Beetle pressure. I haven’t found as many this year as I usually do - no idea why. You didn’t mention deer - are they not a problem for you?
@NicksBackyardBlooms3 ай бұрын
Thank you for the kind comment. I usually see deer traveling through my yard in the winter, but I’ve been very lucky they have stayed away from my plants. I have fields all around me, so I’m guessing my yard isn’t as appetizing as other places close by.
@NicksBackyardBlooms3 ай бұрын
Most of them were shasta daisies. There was one clump of liatris and two clumps of lupines.

how tall are the 4 beds in front of your greenhouse? That is like the exact size I need, the wooden beds with the pedestal in the center. Your yard/garden beds..everything is so gorgeous, thanks so much for sharing your garden with us all, saw you on Janey's channel and had to subscribe. See ya again soon.

@NicksBackyardBlooms3 ай бұрын
Thank you for the kind comments! The beds are 3’x8’and 12 inches tall. My friend found the owl for me at either a yard sale or an antique store… I just can’t quite remember. My grandma has a really large owl collection and I have such fond memories of talking to her about them when I was young, so I’ve kind of started one of my own.

@@NicksBackyardBlooms Thank you for the info about the beds, that is the perfect size for me. I think I need an owl in my garden, I know my hubby's Grandma loved turtles, maybe I need those too In memory of her, what a sweet idea.

@@tinaweller9518 I use pretty much all of the Espoma products and I also use compost from Ohio Mulch. I purchased the blueprints of my greenhouse from Etsy and then built it with my uncle.
