firstly. I have been a mariner and commercial Salmon and Tuna troller Fisher for 30 years on the British Columbia coast. I want you amazing folks to know that I have been watching a ton of your Vids lately. Your adventure has been my adventure _ yet to happen_ due to chronic pain health issues ----/// into Mental health issues. Because of watching your vids I am finally going to make serious attempts to get back to real. And go DO it. Thinking of a Norseman 447 at the moment. I am hoping for the spring time to be clear to find a boat. I cannot thank you ALL enough for being here with this life inspiring journey. scoty

That is a gorgeous boat. I sailed on 16ft and 24ft yachts about 25yrs ago during holidays. I just crewed but had a great time and had Lvl 2 YHA so they let me sail the things. That said, yachts have moved on a hell of a lot since then! What i wouldn't have given for a little button that pulled in the sails, or a screen that showed us weather. We had to make do with listening to the forecast every night on the radio or just looking for the weather. You even have a freezer and a TV. That is a beautiful thing. It also brings back such amazing memories of sunsets and no land anywhere and sharks and dolphins and walking like Popeye when you get onto dry land. Ahhhh! Thank you, Delos crew. Long may you sail.

I've been working on a ship assist tug in Anacortes and I watch your videos on my off time. I've been a mariner for the past 20 years, and I wanted to say that I am very impressed with you and your crews ability to cope with the challenges of traveling abroad. You and your crew are an inspiration for me. Living the dream and making the dream a reality. I must admit, between watching your videos and Nahko Bear videos (a musician I suggest you look up) it can make me restless and hungry for change. When I do drift off it's dreams of cruising. And the change is coming no doubt. I wish you safe passage wherever you decide to point your bow and hopefully the videos keep coming! Thank you!!!

+mobiltec Then you haven't seen the Class A motorhomes? They can have an entire belly compartment for beer. Can also have a slide out freezer/refrigerator. They don't have desalinators though.
@mobiltec9 жыл бұрын
+Brad Taylor But you can't sail a motor home around the world. And a motor home uses much more fuel than a sail boat. And before you say I don't know much about RVs you better take a look at my channel.
@Buck19549 жыл бұрын
The man next to me has a beer truck load of refrigerated beer in his class A motor-home, far more than a sailboat can carry. I live in a 42 foot 5th wheel myself.
@mobiltec9 жыл бұрын
Brad Taylor LOL! I live in a 34 foot long by 12 foot wide small mobile home. I also own 7 other vintage trailers but I restore them for fun. Again you can't take a motor home to Tahiti under it's own power. But I do know people who ship their RV from continent to continent. They have the best of both worlds. I have also seen a couple of large motor homes that float.
@Buck19549 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have seen all that. Both types of travel have advantages and disadvantages. I came within days of buying a salon cruiser to live in, then got laid off in the 80's. Frankly, I enjoy traveling on my motorcycle more than any other method. Only bad thing is beer storage.

I think it's most interesting to binge-watch these videos out of sequence. This tour was fun because I could see so many things changed in six years. Washing machine, no more microwave, didn't know there was a dishwasher, the old generator before the cummins, old instruments before the digital ones, old gas stove before induction stove and convection oven, replaced faucets and fixtures, additional solar integrated into the bimini, before wall of shame (photos), satellite internet dome, not sure if the bbq is still there.... but definitely cool to see so many changes and improvements made to Delos above and beyond the countless maintenance things (rigging, sails, bottom paint). That is a lot of work! 9/13/2020

Felipe Ferraz Awesome man, get out there and do it. It's an amazing lifestyle. Of course with anything you do have to sacrifice some things but you gain so much more in return. For example they don't sell Bacon here, but you can watch crocs, monkeys, and elephants from your boat. I'd say it's worth it although I'm really craving a BLT right now.....
@FelipeFerrazVela10 жыл бұрын
Brian SV Delos Hahaha, I'd exchange 100 BLT's for being in your place right now :P I will get out there indeed... Already have the boat (not the "final" one yet though) and been getting experience in small and medium trips around the Brazilian coast during the last 2 years. My problem is that I have a 5 year old kid and another one coming right now hehehe so the plan is to arrange everything for when the kinds are a little bit older and can go with us! Hope you'll still be around when that happens so that we can meet around the globe someday! ;) Thanks for the amazing videos and fair winds for Delos!
