Right around a Bortle 2, Escalate Petrified Forest State Park is an excellent place to see the stars at night. We visited this park as part of a Utah summer dark sky trip we took, and it was great. It has an awesome lake, clean restrooms, petrifed wood trails, and well spaced new RV campsites.
