My childhood bedroom is like green screen green and I still stay there when I come back to visit my parents. My dad surprised me when I was on a trip to BC with a friend for spring break. I wanted like green and brown earthy stuff with white but as a teenager it became green walls with white furniture I was stuck with and black everything else. Its still like that... Honestly its not bad and I still love the color but if he moves, slime green walls might not be appealing.

really? I'm in WA and all the houses I've lived in have all had finished basements!
@samson30003 жыл бұрын
Right. Growing up in Southern California, I never saw a single house with a basement. As a kid, I remember going on vacation to the Midwest, where my cousins lived in houses with basements. I found them creepy and scary (obviously they were not "finished") and could not figure out why anyone would want to have one.

I love all of the antiques like the formal dining room set (my grandma had one and all that's left of it is the hutch which I have now) and the vanity in your closet is amazing I hope that you keep it!! Some of the color schemes remind me of my house as I was growing up my parents redid every room in our house every couple years and nothing is the same as it used to be.

Always be grateful for the things you have. I grew up in a 3 room house with no plumbing. Me and my siblings shared the main room which also was used at the living room and kitchen. My parents had their own room and there was a working bathroom until the water pump cracked because of the cold winters. "Cozy" would be the noun used. I dreamed of a "regular" house. Now I'm in a one bedroom apt in LA with running water. Super grateful.

There are two vanity heights that are used: the standard kitchen cabinet height and the shorter one. The shorter one was made so it was more comfortable for kids to use which is why it was in the upstairs bathroom that wasn’t the master (because kids are the main users of that bathroom)
