I just went through this with an old Subaru. $375 later only the dealers locksmith was able to reset the code and get me a new key. The engine is not going to start unless the key is coded to the engine. 🫠

Watching this I'm reminded how My brother tried teaching me to drive Manual. i kept turning the car off. Hand eye coordination i couldn't shift and move my feet between the clutch and other pedals ect. Its sad cuz I really want a vintage VW bug someday but I'd have to settle for a manual beetle instead 😔
