More fun to watch than nascar and F1 together!

ferrarigirl666 exactly. Formula 1 has been ruined. I only watch 70s to 90s f1..

Damned right, at least these are bloody real cars that were modded to race. not purpose built decals and the only difference is engines.

Iv been entertained more in the last 10 minutes than in a full season of F1

Then you're clearly watching the wrong bits of Formula 1.

I love to see these cars racing - I grew up with them and know what "fun" they can be to drive!

The styling of the A40 Farina is just like my 1966 MG1100 which was based on the Austin America. The MG1100 is 4 door front wheel drive transverse engine and hydrolastic suspension .With its tiny wheels and low COG, I have never owned a car that could corner as quickly and as fast as that car. But it was problematic in a lot of ways. I bought it in 1971 and it already had so much rust that I think it may have been rusting on the ocean journey from the factory to the US. I learned about leaky engine rear seals and slipping clutches. I did my own maintenance including replacing the head gasket and polishing the valve seats. It was an education to own that car. It did take me on some journeys. My next few cars were VW's however because they were less prone to sudden failure!

#77...what a GREAT car...prepped right, driven right. It takes a lot to give Jag and Alfa a run for the money...and it's got what it takes! BRAVO!! 😉

I live in Canada, and I am amazed at the number of viable old cars that remain in places where the roads aren't heavily salted five months of the year. The only classic car events you can mount in my area are smash-up derbys.

Good close racing entertainment. The last time I saw an A40 Farina I was racing a Mk II Jag against one the 70's.
@simonthomas53676 жыл бұрын
That's why the Jag was the getaway drivers car of choice!

Would be interested to know the engine konfiguration of that A40 ? Because it is hard to imagine that a 950cc Austin could go so fast, even a 1275 Cooper would have problems to run away from a 3.4 litre Jag like that .

I passed my test in an A40 when i was 17 and in between lessons i used to practice in my dads A40 . they were alright for their time but looking back they were bloody awful cars. soon got a 2 door cortina with improved kerb appeal and whent crumpet pulling. Oh to be 19 again those were the days

those old tires provide much better racing for watching!

Race starts when the flag drops, right? The center driver jumped the flag and left when the flag came up.

Anybody know when 2017 full day replays will be posted
@Hillclimbfan19906 жыл бұрын
The replays won't be on youtube anymore. They are restricted to goodwood fellows (I believe that is what that membership was called) to get access to the full replays of the races.

I'd say the most fun 12 seconds you could have? Just guessing.
@thenandnow1114 жыл бұрын
@@brucerobertson5919 So you are saying 12 seconds. It would be a great 12 seconds and a great sound from such a small car.
