Super cool concept, I'd love more things like this (and awesome space!) On mobile data I'd have drops where it was a little grainy, but when it buffered in it was honestly a lot cooler of a way to do a studio tour. Keep up the great stuff C&S!

VR is definitely a fascinating gimmick, especially for tours and vlogs! Based on this video though, it's safe to say that KZbin isn't ready for it yet. It's a very softened image while on Desktop/Mobile though I'm watching in 4k. Glad you tested it out though, always enjoy seeing new innovations.

Good video! I enjoyed seeing the studio setup. I would've liked to have seen some discussion of how to enable 8K 60fps recording, as I think that's important for people to see/know if they intend to use this lens to create content. Personally, I use a cage + claw + external power bank in most scenarios, but Canon's plugged-in power supply is a good solution for studio use.

Just watched on my Quest 3, was cool to be across from Colin and Samir with the mic in front of me. That said this feels like significantly lower quality than Canon's previous videos with the R6 and RF5.2. I'm no stranger to VR180, and happy to hear the 5.2 is compatible with more than one body now, but what caused the lower resolution on this video? Was it the body or something to do with processing? ISO?

This is best experienced with a phone. I personally think 360 is better. If you are going to do this kind of freedom then I want to be able to look around. The whole idea of being able to point to stuff “out of frame” is already solved by having it frame from the beginning.

The main ups for vr are the landscape viewing options. However, KZbin allows you to watch it only in portrait mode which is really uncomfortable. Kind of kills the idea

Because it’s a studio tour filmed with equipment they actually own? Because the file sizes and the workflow are massive and slow? Because the max resolution on oculus is like 2k per eye? Lots of reasons.

I cant even finish this. Maybe in VR it looks great but the viewing of this on mobile is just terrible. The quality is horrendous conpared to your usual uploads, and having me move my phone or touch the screen to see what youre directing me to is a terrible experience. Youve been teasing a stuido tour, and this was just a terrible ad, i hope to see a proper one at a later date.
