Yes, bus tours (any tours for that matter) really limit what you can see and for how long---but, sometimes it's the best one can do! This tour got you to a bunch of the bucket list places. By now you probably know that the 1995 Pride & Prejudice town of Meriton was filmed in Lacock. And so sad that you couldn't see so much that Bath has to offer. I read Regency romances and Bath is often mentioned, The Pump Room to drink the waters, the Royal Crescent and Circus (impressive homes) and of course, the Roman Baths. One could spend all day there! Been enjoying these installments of England. Thanks!

It was 20 years ago that I took a van from Oxford to Stonehenge and Salisbury . I took had a wonderful time but if course I wish I had been a bit older to really remembered everything!! What truly breathtaking!!

Hi from the UK 🇬🇧 really enjoying your videos…your reactions to seeing Stonehenge was truly fantastic..I was born in 1968 and lived in Dorset very near the stones, and was one of the lucky ones to have been able to touch and wander around the stones..my dad would just pull up by the side of the road, all free of charge back then 😊 English Heritage now do a very good job of protecting the Stones from any damage.

I was in the Great Britain in 1976... Did a 10 day tour bus of England and Scotland, and visited Stonehenge..no visitor center, the bus pulled up and we walked directly up to it, touched the rock's and had our Kodak picture taken..amazing memories..take care from Arizona US..🌵🌵

That was a great tour, it went to a lot of "must see" places. You make it seem like a long, long time ago you could go inside the Henge. When I was there you could walk all around and inside, I guess I'm old, lol! Bath was my favorite town. The Baths were also fascinating, just how luxurious they had it 2000 years ago. Along the river there is a park I spent some time just relaxing with a coffee, while a "football" match happened on the other side of the river. Sorry you didn't get to see the baths, it was really fascinating! I'm really glad you two are there, England is a great place to experience in person!

@@billybob-ro6qf I just looked it up, it was 1978 when they started limiting access. I visited in the 1980s, an I'm thinking I must have been with a special tour for the group I was with because we were allowed inside. Wow, didn't realize that at the time. But up to 1978 it was open and lots of ground damage and graffiti was being done.

Seeing QEII Tomb is something you'll never forget. Stone Henge is a strange place, not the sort of place you want to be at night, however, it's the sort of place you want to be during the day with no one else around, it's an eerie feeling.

Yes years ago when we went to Stonehenge the day we were there I walked all through it all around it touched the stones and there was no nice welcome center. Just a little building. Then we went onto bath England. Loving your trip so far! I still feel so bad for Jamie. I remember being in the little town of Windsor and walking into a shop that dated from 1500s. This is so cool to relive this! Thank You! 👏🏻❤️
