Looking good. This is no criticism, just a preference, but I would have put down a cheap luxury vinyl plank floor just because I can't stand trying to keep bare plywood swept. It makes keeping it clean so much easier, and they're durable, especially when you don't care what it looks like. It also makes things with wheels roll so much more smoothly!

Totally agree, bare wood is becoming a pain in the b.. It will wear, start to splinter, gets black where you walk path is etc.

1/2 inch hole in floor run conduit up to panel or something mounted on end of the 4 by 8 table. then if need to move it. you only have a 1/2 hole to fill with a bung n shave it off.

Is the covered item a 3D printer? If not, any future plans for one? I have watched a few videos of shops that build/sell 3D printed accessories for like Milwaukee Packout or Craftsman VersaStak systems. Edit: Or Husky Build Out (which is what I have) hint.

Under the sheet? A Thunder Bolt! Given that my hobby workshop is the 5-foot area down the side of my extra-wide garage and half a benchtop along the back wall of my garage, I'm envious of your new space. It is what it is and I probably wouldn't know what to do with all the space you've created anyway. It's been fun watching it all come together. Congrats!

I just unloaded a slightly used (8 hrs) Nova 51/100 into my garage yesterday. I’m new so any helpful hints are very much appreciated. I’ve watched hours of your videos. Interested in doing hats, tumblers and also like your video on engraving patches for canvas bags. I’m seeing alot of people on FB and KZbin claiming you have to buy the Hotronix press. Are you still happy with your VEVO and can you consistently center patch the Richardson 112 without creasing. Like I said. I’m just starting your expert and expert advice is very much welcomed. Why did you choose the black vevo instead of the different orange model?

Enjoyed the shop tour. Do you have or are you going to add an Energy Recovery Ventilation System (ERV) to your shop? I built my shop to net zero standards and used it to assure ongoing fresh air exchange. Since adding a laser with exterior inline exhaust, I am interested in what you and others have done to replace air voided by the inline fan. Thanks!

You need to let us know what you do want to make in your new workshop. I have some items that I would like made but I'm not sure if its something you would like to make and what type of materials you are capable of making them out of. So, maybe a video explaining this? Hey, when I move into a new space sometimes it can take up to a whole year to figure out what I want the space to look like, colors, textures and flooring & wall coverings. Thats just in my house. I know a workshop would take longer bcuz you have to work in the space to get the feel of it.

If you decide you need more storage, why not get more of the metal shelving with castors instead of putting shelves on the wall. I'm imagining a dedicated, specially designed area for all your red tools. Can your spare table be used by your boys for their hobbies? Hello from Australia.
@nathanwolf5547
@nathanwolf5547 7 ай бұрын
Never underestimate the importance of unused table space. You will soon find that empty table is really needed for laying out things, gluing up, unloading stock etc.
@75keg75

Thoughts about doing the casters that allow you to raise and lower l the tables as needed? I think Adam’s savage or April Wilkinson did a table with them. They are fairly neat to reconfigure layout without too much hassle.
