The movie was excellent. I agree with everything you both said 100%. I had exactly the same observations. The storyline was to the point and depicted Bob's personality and his demeanor. It helped the viewer to understand the man, the message and the music. Haters will always hate. I am not a Jamaican and I enjoyed it immensely. Alot of white people were at my veiwing (young and old, very old) and they seemed like they REALLY enjoyed it. Cinema was full of white people, movie finished and they stayed till the credits finished. I was the minority in the room LOL. OMG I loved Rita too! I thought she was beautiful - FLAWLESS. Whats wrong with people? Well done to the Marley family. Brad Pitt was also one of the producers of the film.

Fun fact: the beautiful lady that played Rita is British born Jamaican. Both her parents are Jamaican, who came to England. Her movie catalogue is long and good please check her out. Also, she always makes it known that she's J'Can😊

The movie is truly a hit.. took my aged Jamaican mother to see it & she loved it.... the actors acted the hell out of it.. job well done by all... was happy for the clarity on some of Bob's personal life.. had to see it twice.. only wish it was longer.

My husband and I live in Florida, and we saw the movie when it opened on Feb 14th. A bartender at the theater told us the movie was so unexpectedly popular that they had to add 2 showings that evening. I thought the movie was a bit too surface level and just okay, not great. I'm glad we went out to support. I hope it shows that folks want more art about Caribbean people.

Seeing the emphasis of Rastafari, Ethiopia, what happened in the 70's , these things made Bob Marley what he was. The movie showed these things.

Bob would be disheartened to witness the harsh criticism directed at the actor portraying him in the "One Love" movie. His belief in love, unity, and non-discrimination transcended race and nationality. Bob would have been proud of Ziggy and his decision-making process for the film, as it reflects the inclusive spirit and values he championed throughout his life.

Most persons I hear keep complaining that they did not put more of Bob Marley's personal life there because they wanted to see Cindy B totally forgetting that she was just another baby mother. Some persons just want the gossip side of Bob Marley's life and not serious stuff.

Hi guys. So I too saw the movie and enjoyed it, although it left more to be desired, but overall, I loved it and made me proud. I had to pause the video where you were talking about racial issues in Jamaica and when you said the natural hair movement took off from 2020. I disagree. Here in America, I would venture to say the natural hair movement started when Chris Rock's movie "Good Hair" came out in 2009. It was a documentary type film that talked about Black women's hair and the effects of perms, and the hair weave industry, etc. Since then, black women have been more conscious of the chemicals they've been putting in their hair and bodies, and thus the natural hair movement started (back). Perhaps yall were young to remember or things were different down there, but that's my observation. But I agree, we as a people need to do better as far as how we view ourselves. Black is beautiful! ❤✨️

The new highway, though the idea is great, it's found SERIOUSLY wanting... it's just another half finished but full priced project... the infrastructural projects have been so poorly executed... smh
