The point you made about getting out there and figuring it out being more valuable than just watching videos is some real talk. I appreciate the authentic side of these tournaments you capture and value your contribution to the kayak fishing community. You have more influence than you know. Big up from a GA angler. You've taught me so much over the years, thank you, Greg! I'm certainly twice the fisherman I was in my kayak from before I've started watching your videos! I do agree that going out and fishing is better than watching videos, but there is just so much you wouldn't think by yourself that is common knowledge online! I've certainly learned the theory from you and went to practice it on the water! I have a drop shot tied on all the time now lmao it's a life saver on though days

I have been fishing for bass almost my entire life. 30+ years, and I've caught them on damn near every lure out there. BUT, I have never, not once, ever caught a single solitary bass on a buzz bait! Even when they hit every other topwater I throw! Keep the footage coming!

Yup that was a tough one. I got 7 fish (4 smallies) dragging the drop shot in 15-20 feet of water and that was good enough for 15th. I fished out of putah canyon and had never been to that part of the lake. Reminded me a whole lot of melones and don Pedro.

I was pulling for you Greg. It can be frustrating and time consuming chasing schooling fish. I have had great luck when schooling bass are busting the top water by throwing a popper where they were and working it aggressively. It makes the bass think there is another feeding frenzy starting and they come back and hit the popper. Just make sure you have sharp hooks.
