I now live in Forfar too. We moved here in 2014 all the way from Australia. And this, without ever having heard of or seen this place before. We could not even pronounce it correctly. We called it "Foohrfaahhr"...LOL. Not much changed other than Reid Park looks less fancy, people dress differently and there are too many cars on the street now. Thank you for showing me these old photos.

Remember buying Jacks bag of 1d ice lollies in the Vennel. Sad when the tore down the Muckle Inn, such a history lost. So much has not changed though. Now live in Sweden 😊

Lived in Forfar from 1978 to 1985. Parents owned ‘The Stag Hotel’. Moved to North Aberdeenshire in 1985 but it was not like Forfar at all.
