Such an idiotic question. It's like asking if Jews are monotheists, why do they worship a wall ? Kaaba was built as a house of worship by Ibrahim and Ishmael. It's located in valley of Bakkah today's Makkah. Later it became filled with idols as descendants of Ishmael starting adopting pagan idols as an object of reverence. kaaba is also a direction of prayer. All faces to Kaaba when praying no matter where they reside in the world. NO Muslim prays to the the STONE/Brick i.e. the cube ! Solomon built a temple in Jerusalem. Later it was destroyed and was made a dumpster by Byzantine christians and filled with garbage ! Christians expelled all Jews from Jerusalem too. Later the place was cleaned when Umar Khattab conquered Jerusalem, wall was restored and jews were brought back. Caller probably also thinks Jews pray to the wall ! Dear Rabbi, I watch your videos and find them enlightening and insightful. That said, I wish to point out here that every Muslim considers the Kaaba as reclaimed from the idol worshippers from the age of jahiliyya, as you rightly mentioned, but that it was originally built as a house of worship and consecrated to the One True God by Abraham and his son, Ishmael. The circumambulation and the other rites that we perform during the Hajj are reenactments of the acts of these patriarchs which were passed down through generations of the progeny of Ishmael before they gradually declined into idolatry whilst retaining some of the practices - like the circumambulation - without cognizance of its higher source or purpose in the worship of the Most High. Thus Islam reclaimed, redefined and re-sanctified this misappropriation by the pagans of Arabia.

The prophet's kinsmen - Banu Hashim of the Quraish tribe - were ostracized and even an uncle of his was vehemently opposed to him, still, his grandfather - who never became Muslim - refused to give him up for severe sanction or bodily harm to the Quraish who were his bitterest enemies. Also, he was offered riches and kingship which he turned down in favor of the worship of the one true God. You can juxtapose this titbit of information I've offered you with your hypothesis and see how it measures up. Thank you.

Muslims do worship the Kaaba even if it’s by mistake, Jews pray toward the synagogue Bcz it’s a common belief that god dwells in the temple. Although, in Islam Allah doesn’t come down to Kaaba, so who are they praying towards to? Also, there is a jew who confronted Mohamed about the Kaaba worship by saying that Muslims are swearing by the name of the Kaaba, mohamed realized his mistake and changed the swearing to swearing by the lord of the Kaaba. That means that Mohamed realized that they were committing shirk and one thing we know is that Allah don’t forgive shirk.

It is not worshipped but according to the Qur'an we as Muslims are required by scripture to perform the pilgrimage to it as it is regarded as the first house of worship created by Prophet Ibrahim(Abraham) may peace be upon him and his family. The rituals and prayers at the Kaaba are prescribed to us by Allah(swt) and are partly a reminder of the history of the time of Hagar, her son Ishmael(Ismael) and the creation of the first house to worship the one tru G-d Allah(swt). The Kaaba also house in one of its corners the remnants of an ancient rock believed to be a meterorite which Muslims will try to touch whilst going around the Kaaba. Some people will claim we worship this item too which is false and we in fact read out a verse whilst circumbobulating which states that the rock is not being worshipped and that we understand that it can neither help nor harm us but that we are only doing this act because Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) did it upon the instructions of Allah. The rock is black in color is believed to have originally been white and that over the ages it became darker by absorbing the sins of the people who touched it. The rock is also to have believed to have descended from Jannah(heaven) from the time of the fall of Adam(PBUH) when he went against Allah's command. I hope this helps all those who doubt we as Muslims worship the one true God. Also, Muslims we try to avoid using the English word God because God can include a plural meaning such as Godesses for example. The Qur'an warns us against using the westernized term 'God' which is actually a Germanic term and insists on using the simitic word 'Allah' which also has similar origins in Aramaic and Hebrew such as 'il' 'El' 'Eloha' or 'Elohim' to name a few.

Thank you for the answer Rabbi, you're doing an excellent work. Assalamu alaikum to all my Jewish brothers. Let me take this opportunity to share some Infos here about the kaaba. According to Islamic faith, God instructed Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) to build kaaba as a place of worship together with prophet Ishmael (Ismail) "peace be upon them both". This is to centralise the believe of One God and to unify. Slowly as centuries went by non believers knowing the sanctity of kaaba started associating their polytheistic faith with it and started placing idols inside. Gradually the number of idols started increasing over the years. This was the year of Jahiliyyah (Ignorance) in the peninsula of Arabia where the true teaching of One God has been suppressed by polytheism. That was when God sent prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) to correct and bring these polytheistic people to One True God. Prophet Muhammad personally went into the Kaaba and broke the biggest statue placed inside by God's will and from there on the Kaaba was restored to its original purpose (to worship the One true God, the God of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Moses and Jesus). In Islam idol worship is condemned so he/she is not a Muslim who worship the Kaaba or the black stone itself literally and so far I can confidently say no Muslims with sane mind have done it before.. These are things to signify spiritual beliefs and historical evidence. These things have no supernatural power. Hope my explanation helps. You may also check on the Kaaba history videos in KZbin, there are couple of good videos explaining the historical story behind Kaaba. This are couple of the verses from Quran whereby God instruction Abraham to build the Kabaa: 'Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).' (2:125) 'And remember Abraham and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House (With this prayer): "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing.' (2:127)

Tuthmosis son of Ahkenaten would never have kissed anything once used as a toilet, especially when it was during his time that it was used as a toilet.
