I definitely should have looked under this car before trying to tow it out of the woods, but I didn’t and totally missed the exhaust hanging down low, and ripped the exhaust out on a rock. Luckily it was an abandoned and most likely stolen vehicle that will just end up going to the scrap yard, so no big loss, but I definitely should have checked for loose parts.

Honestly Casey, it was satisfying to watch you rip the pipe out from under the car. It angers me so much to see all the garbage in the woods. You're doing a huge service to everyone who actually wants to camp out there. By the way, thanks for doing a detailed sling hookup. I've always been courious how they worked.

If you never want to grind your PTOs anymore, leave the transmission in gear when comming to a stop, push the clutch in (still in gear), engage the PTO (trans. is not turning because your are still in gear with the clutch in), move the shifter to neutral and let the clutch go. Same thing with air actuated PTOs on dump trucks.

When it dawns on all the good people cleaning up the mess that the people who created the monstrosity will appreciate having a nice clean place to repeat the mess, it loses a bit of the "feel good". With no accountability, no repercussions, it will happen over and over. Many of those homeless do not want anything to do with authority in their lives, arguably for good reason. Set up camp, live there until it's suitably trashed, move on to a fresh new "canvass". It is a conundrum, isn't it. Again, you can always tell how good a government is by how well the people are doing.
