My favorite album by them. My son is a percussionist and he loved to play to this song and my husband was a phenomenal bassist who also played to this. It was a joy to watch them My son wanted to be as great as his uncle Tyrone who was the percussionist for Parliament Funkadelic. God rest his soul.

East Bay grease, yup the bomb. The tenor sax player would dance while wailing. What a trip. Outdoors, only place to catch a concert.

We covered this groove in Sage, Psyclone and the Funk Foundation. Great tune for Rudi Wilburn our vocalist. Skip Mesquites solo is superb. Sings like this drove my passion to play and perform on all the Saxes. Doc Kupka rocks. Garibaldi and Prestia set the Funk.

Fell asleep in the park last night - daamn its funky right at the point Rufus says this line - noticing the vast impression, teh whole school, of funk bass created by Mr Frank Prestia (as we knew him) in just six studio albums? That few - can i be right about that? Shocking - and what comeback when you hear Oakland Zone LP and the covers tribute album
@andrewgillis85729 жыл бұрын
kids do you dig harmony and substitution? because Rocco's bass line under the bridge of this tune is world class - on his debut album

imagine that much talent (and egos) getting along if only for the moment of sharing damn good music with the world. be really, really great if we could declare a human truce once per month (to expand) where we just chilled and EVERYBODY rejected violence and oh, listen to good music. (genre changes each month)
