I've got a 1994 GMC Suburban K1500 with 237,000 miles on the clock, been in the family since new, engine never opened. I have used it to pull heavy boats between MD and FL and it runs strong. Always been maintained, no major issues. Has needed a starter in 4014, alt. in 2010, a water pump and power steering pump this year, a transmission rebuild in 2010. Runs strong and is a daily driver to work. A solid truck. The only mod is shorty stainless steel headers and true dual exhaust, this made a huge difference and it felt like the power doubled. It was kind of a dog until I did this. Totally recommended if you have one of these or similar trucks.

My 2003 Suburban has been one of the best investments I've ever made. Right up there with my fishing boat. It has done everything I've ever asked it to. Hauling maxed out trailers, flat towing vehicles. Hauling boys scouts to events. Safely and reliably. The brake lines blew out and I had to nurse it home 500+ miles... NO PROBLEMS. Water pump and front wheel bearings are the only other repairs. I service the fluids myself

A low mileage Suburban like that is a true gem! You see these with over 300K miles all the time! That "Burb will last you a long time! My sister and family swore by them for many years..I remember I had to use her 94 Suburban back in 1995 in Jax,FL and I loved it! It was smooth as a Cadillac..She would give the old one to one of her kids and buy a new model every few years..then about 2005 she left the Chevy family and started buying Range Rover's...

Suggestions: 1. If your vehicle is going to be parked for an extended period, put the appropriate amount of fuel stabilizer in the gas with a full tank before you park it. Make sure you've driven it for several miles to get the stabilized fuel through out the fuel system. 2. On electronic fuel injected engines (EFI), when you first try to restart the vehicle after after sitting a week or more, first turn the key to ON for about 15-20 seconds before going to START. This allows the fuel system to prime and fully pressurize before trying to start.

It protects prevents sludge liquefies sludge protects all moving components cleans fuel injectors breaks up carbon on pistons cleans intake and exhaust valves makes engine way smoother better gas milage I could on mmo been around since Moses walked the earth with his staff it's not just for high mileage engine full of god knows what it's to maintain high mileage engines from getting god knows what I have a 2003 ram 1500 with a 4.7 Magnum has 246000 miles runs flawless I get easy 17 to 18 miles to the gallon and I don't care if you believe me either you don't have to sell mmo it sells itself proofs in the bottle try it.

Nita Wilson That’s a good thing Nita . Say something like a cam position sensor fails they don’t quit on you and the computer does have a limp mode to keep em running till you replace sensor. I’ve got 2 “97” Tahoe’s both 2 doors a “97” GMC. SWB pickup and a “10” avalanche I’m definitely a Chevy guy. Good luck with your Chevy I know their tough.

Funny that I bought a 1995 GMC Yukon SLT with 67k miles three years ago. I have 74k on it now and love it.

Hi! How reliable is this truck would or wouldn’t you recommend to buy one of these rigs? I currently own a 4runner so I would like to have something similar in reliability but with more space

My burb has a sticker on the driver door that says "when towing a trailer use D w/o overdrive"
@1RoadGarage6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I've always heard NOT to use the standard drive but to kick it down into 3rd (the next step down from D). But what I did was use D on the long straightaways and 3rd for any sort of grade.

@@1RoadGarage did that with my 90hp civic, struggled to pull my fattas up the hill 😅

For some reason, 4th and 5th gear isn't made to support towing capacities. I just drove from Colorado to Florida with a Chevy E3500 pulling a tandem axle 16' enclosed trailer. I made the mistake of using drive/overdrive and the engine seemed fine pulling it at first, but after several hours, eventually a light came on the dash that said Service Engine Soon. The whole driveshaft underneath the vehicle was getting so hot, it was radiating up through the bottom of the van. Supposedly it would not have gotten so hot if I would have had it in 3rd the whole time

I have a 95 chevy c2500 hauling my 2500lbs camper always on 3rd gear my only worry is my rpm stays at 3k at 55mph on a 65mph speed limit so I have to switch to OD when straight flat
