I tie mine just like you, tire straps. People strap to the car or suspension is a disaster waiting to happen.

I’ve just had too many vehicles come loose strapping to the suspension, it’s just not worth the risk. Tire bonnets or lasso straps for the win

I love the way you strap that on. I could not find straps like that locally so I use a regular strap and hook it to it’s self on my front Teryx 4 tires and use Moose wheel chalk and straps on the rear. I confess I have a Karavan Home Depot trailer gvr of 2000# and it does the job and fit my budget at the time but I would prefer a trailer like yours.

@@RedSandsAdventures I do but I think if I can get a set of actual “wheel nets” or something with hooks on the ends instead of the clip In end I would like them better. Over time the wheel chock fills in with debris and needs cleaning.

16" Tandem axle aluminum landscape trailer 7 ft wide is the way to go. Lighter weight, plenty wide enough, and you can use it for other things.

Good points, but you straps are set up in a way that your sxs can creep across or hop/slide off of one side or the other. Straps should be in an X imo, especially on that trailer w/o side rails and w/o any real downward pressure on it. If your straps were anchored in a shorter more straight up-and-down vertical way they’d be ok, but as shown there is enough length that the rear can swing off the side.

That’s an Interesting point, so far I have yet to see it move at all laterally and I have taken it down some pretty bumpy roads. I will definitely keep an eye on it though!

Wheel nets and eTrack. Will never haul a SXS without them.

E track is something I have considered before as well. Do you have the E track bolted to cross members or just through the wood decking?

@@RedSandsAdventures depends on the wood.. thick fresh dense treated lumber with good *thru-bolted* hardware and thick washers you’re good to go.. but cheap, light, dried out wood is a nope. Try to hit crossmembers wherever you can either way. And it also depends on how well the wood is attached to the metal trailer in the first place. Your front looks fine, I’d just X the rear and roll on..

Well thanks for your input I’m going to keep rocking it the way that it is since I haven’t seen it move at all one way or another. But I think it’s great that there is more than one way to skin a cat and I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
