Just a heads up I found out. The air bag seat belts found in the back are not allowed for MOST car seats. Especially the convertible kids type booster seat. All I have found so far are Britax and Chicco.

It would be really nice if any recent owners could tell us how much they paid for a fully-loaded sport model with and without sunroof in addition to what they paid for tax, and license fee, etc. I got a price of $48K and change. I also checked out the true car price site...just forget the proper name for it. Anyhow, it was pretty much the same when you add the fees etc. Actually, I thought I would have the money by now to replace my old Ford Explorer limited with a Range Rover Sport Supercharged. Now, I am considering a Ford Explorer Sport instead. From the front and side, they look alike. I read somewhere that one of the automakers has investment (or partnership) on the other so they share designs and technology a little bit?!?!

This one does not have it, but it is offered as an optional feature. It is called the panoramic vista roof that goes from the front seats to the middle seats.

Good luck w/ that. The base explorer is over 30. The XLT which is step up frm base usually goes for 36-40K and the Limited and Sport usually are mid forties.

marjomjom I am not a car enthusiast by any means. I have been driving a Limited version of Explorer for ten years. I bought it used from a co-worker at the time. I like its rugged look which came with larger tires, front grill and sunroof etc. I have spent the least amount of money for repair. It has been the best car I have had thus far. Other than oil change, I took it to repair shop once a year or every other year or so and that was for a minor work each time. That is also why I am interested in another Ford Explorer but the Limited Version appears like bigger than the old ones unlike Explorer Sport with a more compact appearance. It also has the closest frontal resemblance to Ranger Rover Sport Supercharged which is what I actually would love to have. I am not in a hurry to buy one as I no longer drive much. From the economical perspective (cost, repair, gas, insurance), it is cheaper for me to use a cabbie than have a new Ford Explorer or Range Rover but having a car brings convenience to one's life.
