You'd be surprised. I took over a year for me to get my stimulus payments because of IRS screw ups processing address changes. I've had similar issues with my State DMV. Takes forever to get new tags because of how inefficient things have become with C-19. What did was send my apartment manager a copy of my DMV receipt so it would stay off the tow list. The moment I know there's a problem with my tags, I let the office know and ask what do I need to do to keep it off the sticker and tow list and put my e-mail receipt on the dash. You can't get a temporary operating permit if your tags have been paid. You have to wait for your tags to show up.

that load came out of the freighliner factory in charlotte North Carolina and went to ledwell and sons in texarkana. You can google earth ledwell and see what those trucks are going to become. I didn’t notice towtrucker at first because he had KO on his doors.

Honestly i dont understand why police is not more active in enforcing these things. Here, if you dont pay your registration they will send you another bill that is higher, and if you do not pay that, they will put it on the list. If you are stopped, if you pass a ANPR camera or if police have time, they take your plate. You lose your plates ON THE SPOT if you get stopped. Police will also have a list of cars in their county that needs taken away and if they have time, for example at night, they will drive to your adress and remove the plates. Also here, there is a daily fine for letting your insurance, inspection or road tax slip....System works wonders, not a lot of cars without insurance or road tax on the roads today.

@@sixtoseven7563 Yeah, it seems that not paying for registration tax or insurance is just a "minor" thing. Here, if you did not deregistrer your car you are still liable to pay road tax, so if you got stopped and had not paid for 2 years, you would require to first, pay up what you owe before you are even able to get new plates. In the US, it seems that if you get stopped, the worst that can happen is a small fine and then you must buy registration from that day. With poor control, and low fines, it might be cheaper to just, not pay and then pay the fine if you get it. As long as fines are lower, and the risk of getting caught is low, some people will just take the cheap option, even if it is not strictly legal. Also the whole buying a physical sticker, that is sent by mail, seems VERY outdated. Here we just have a plate, and then we pay every 6 months, and as said...If you do not pay, they will send you one reminder, and if you do not pay, you are on the list and the first time you pass an ANPR police car you lose your plates on the spot. And then you have 24 hours to get the car towed, at your expense or they will do it and bill you.

Guy seemed like he was having issues with getting his license plate. Getting them reissued can be a hassle in some states. He offered to show johnny his up to date registration, I don't know but he seemed reasonable to me, since that situation does happen to people. Also, I don't know about johnny, but a lot of tow truckers are predatory. I mean, can you imagine waking up to got to work and your car is gone? People have homes, bills, and kids to pay for, they don't have time to be looking out for predatory tow truck drivers.

I suppose there are “predators “ in all trades, all businesses. And that can be verified easily. You said “a lot of tow guys are predatory” I’ll say maybe some but not a lot. For one thing Johnny can’t be considered such because he wasn’t out searching for a vehicle to grab he was told to tow certain ones as per the managers and the code violations. I stand by my statement that this guy was gaming the system. And yes I had a work van towed due to some financial difficulties while I was away. That was on me for being unable to pay s debt. Many people get towed for those reasons or fall behind on payments. There is a myriad of reasons to get towed and I’ll say with confidence it’s almost never the tow truck operator fault for he/she is doing a job usually at someone else’s request. It can be a dangerous job people get angry and upset to lose a vehicle but the tow operator is rarely at fault.

Most often when a vehicle is “snatched, removed, or taken at night or an inconvient time or occasion it’s to do with not making payments for whatever reason. And usually that happens after three months of arrears or refusal to pay. People seldom read contracts they sign which contain the rules then get upset when they can’t afford what they purchase. The guy at the apartment was two years out of date with his tags and his upidy attitude convinced me he was well aware of that.all the tow operators I have known , and I’m an old guy, have been people that work hard and do a job. Whatever profession you may be in I’m sure has a certain amount of Predators or predatory practices Prove me wrong
