You're right. The manager can decide what to tow. What the officer is saying is that it is a civil issue. They cannot get involved. If you try to tow it and a fight breaks out then they can get involved. The officers are not telling her what she can and can't tow. I am a police officer and we have no authority to make either party do anything. All that officer is saying is you can do your job and they can try and stop you. That's everyone's right. But law enforcement cannot get involved unless there is a crime. We cannot enforce or take action on civil matters. It violates people's rights. Law enforcement does not enforce private property "rules". Only statutes and laws. Hope that helps. Love your channel. Watch it almost every day.

The sergeant should have checked the law before arriving on scene. If not, he should have at least checked after arriving on scene. No one is asking him to authorize the tow, they are asking him to subdue the possible violence involved. If the cop's contention is that it's a civil matter, he should understand that the manager can tow unauthorized vehicles from his property and if the manager cause the vehicle to be unlawfully towed, it remain a civil matter.

I like how the cop said "I can't force him to release his vehicle to be towed." Well you're not forcing him to release the vehicle, it's a NON-CONSENTUAL tow. The property owner doesn't need the consent of the vehicle owner to tow the vehicle. What an idiot cop.

I hope there's a follow up on this one. Wow, it was REALLY hard to miss the conceited attitude coming from that cop. He made up his mind that he was right, before you even finished your side. IMO, if he would have handled that with a better attitude, right or wrong, it wouldn't have left such a bad impression. I think SOME cops need to work on their "car-side" manner, in these times we're living in. As per usual, YOU were completely professional! 💯!

In the cop's defense though, this is one of the times Johnny's communication slipped up. He repeated himself, then demanded a sergeant, which happens to be the entitlement routine cops hear 2-3 times a week every week. As a result "We back our colleagues and don't change our mind if they go entitled" becomes an embedded routine. It would've been easier to simply start the tow, wait for the guy to attack and then you've got something no sane cop will stay absent from.

No shit, the cops can never recommend a trespass. That has be requested by the property manager. If the manager was willing to do it, then he would have to leave or be arrested. BUT if the guy CLAIMED to be living there, it becomes a massive mess as tenant laws come into effect. I think that's why the manager is smart NOT to request a trespass.

“POLice” are used to enforce POLitical POLicy. They POLarize the public to help facilitate control of the ruling class. They aren’t a group of concerned citizens taking care of their community, even if some claim so. It’s impossible to be altruistic and work for ANY government. “Govern” means “control” and “ment” means “mental/mind.” Government LITERALLY MEANS MIND CONTROL. They’re armed enforcers of man-made laws, created to keep people under control. That’s it.
