You're right. The manager can decide what to tow. What the officer is saying is that it is a civil issue. They cannot get involved. If you try to tow it and a fight breaks out then they can get involved. The officers are not telling her what she can and can't tow. I am a police officer and we have no authority to make either party do anything. All that officer is saying is you can do your job and they can try and stop you. That's everyone's right. But law enforcement cannot get involved unless there is a crime. We cannot enforce or take action on civil matters. It violates people's rights. Law enforcement does not enforce private property "rules". Only statutes and laws. Hope that helps. Love your channel. Watch it almost every day.

In the cop's defense though, this is one of the times Johnny's communication slipped up. He repeated himself, then demanded a sergeant, which happens to be the entitlement routine cops hear 2-3 times a week every week. As a result "We back our colleagues and don't change our mind if they go entitled" becomes an embedded routine. It would've been easier to simply start the tow, wait for the guy to attack and then you've got something no sane cop will stay absent from.

Johnny, you have the patience of a saint....that police officer didn't make your (or the managers) life any easier. Maybe send a snatch truck next time in the evening when this guy is not around.
@cl84612 жыл бұрын
Goodness gracious! The Sgt should have known better. It's a shame when the police don't want to get involved and/or let you do your job. 😒 Some days aren't as good as others. All you can do is keep going. Stay safe and God bless you and yours.

The cop shut up real quick when you told the manager that she could have the guy trespassed from the property.
@bindingcurve2 жыл бұрын
No shit, the cops can never recommend a trespass. That has be requested by the property manager. If the manager was willing to do it, then he would have to leave or be arrested. BUT if the guy CLAIMED to be living there, it becomes a massive mess as tenant laws come into effect. I think that's why the manager is smart NOT to request a trespass.
@ApexSolutionsLLC2 жыл бұрын
Why would the police trespass the guy from the property? Under what authority? These comments in here are baffling.
@superbeeblaze2 жыл бұрын
@@ApexSolutionsLLC because it's private property. If it was public, like a courthouse or something, that's different. Are you trying to tell me a stranger could walk into your house and you call the cops and say, ope too bad, he's fine?
@ApexSolutionsLLC2 жыл бұрын
@@superbeeblaze The man's daughter, who is the paying tenant, is allowing her father to be at the house. Under what authority would the property management company be allowed to tell her she can't do that?

That's total BS what they did to you guys. They failed in doing their job and that Sargeant was only backing that young rookie up. He should be ashamed of himself. One thing I had to laugh at, though, is that woman's hair when she walked out. I know it's their culture, but that was ridiculous. LOL. Sorry if anyone gets offended Johnny, it was nice seeing you back on KZbin again! Sorry you had soo much trouble though. I learned a lot from this video. Take care and please stay safe. What those cops did was wrong. You need Danny from Georgia PD from the Live PD show out there. Don't know whether you watched that show, but he was badass. Please take care of yourself and be safe.

You were right, Johnny, and the cop was wrong. I was glad to see you handled the situation professionally, though, and left them to sort it out. I'm guessing the property manager will be having a chat to someone higher up the police department ladder, in order to have this resolved.
@JohnDoe-bd5sz2 жыл бұрын
They should just wait a couple of hours and send in the snatch truck. Would not take more than a few seconds to get it hooked and in the air, and then, if the owner came out, he would be able to do nothing, as the car was already loaded.

Wow. The officers were so set in their beliefs that they wouldn't even make a call to Code Enforcement or another officer that has experience with PP towing. Chips with egos are the most dangerous. I hope the manager makes a complaint against him. Peace!! ✌️

Johnny I give you credit for being professional it is sad when police become part of the problem and use the BS line of we can't get involved. The officers more less said anyone can park a car on private property and the property owner cant have the vehicle towed. I did find it interesting how the officers were ok with someone driving a car that isn't street legal. Crap like this is the reason people lose respect for police

“POLice” are used to enforce POLitical POLicy. They POLarize the public to help facilitate control of the ruling class. They aren’t a group of concerned citizens taking care of their community, even if some claim so. It’s impossible to be altruistic and work for ANY government. “Govern” means “control” and “ment” means “mental/mind.” Government LITERALLY MEANS MIND CONTROL. They’re armed enforcers of man-made laws, created to keep people under control. That’s it.
