My dad was a serial cheater and my mom was a "strong black woman" who loved physical violence. I'm truly glad my parents aren't together anymore, they get alone a lot better apart! I'm very close with them both though. Sometimes it does actually work out for the child, if the parents are responsible and reasonable with each other. I had two of everything so i loved it! they're almost 60 now and I gag when they flirt lol

How I moved in life thereafter was not right, not because I didn't know I was doing but because I was hurt. It wasn't my sons father's fault that I was combative and unreasonable, it was just easier to blame him rather than looking at what kind of woman I was. Long story short I changed for the better and son is doing well, thanks to the influence of his father. Years down the track and in my 50's I married a good man and wouldn't change it for the world.
